"I WON'T BOW DOWN" by P.O.D. blasts in the Arena
The show starts off with video footage detailing historic events over Monday Night BRAWL's history.
From episode 001 in 1997 all the way down to the last episode #608 in Shreveport.
Images of previous EWC Champions are shown, starting with the very first Champion Black Ninja, then moving onto Big Mac and Steve Bennett. Sped up footage then shows a special montage of Memphis Reigns, Shadow Man, Hirsh Valentine, Jesse Nunez, Hurricane Jeff, Moses Lake, James Chambers, BDC, Jay Cee, Stray, Gladiator, The Rev, and Ruthless Aggression, all with the EWC Championship.
From there we look at the dawning of the Undisputed Championship as we know it today, with a focus on the men and women who have been a part of the red brand who have held the illustrious title including Candy, Dominic Sanders, Cyrus Black, and Stitches, before ending on the new champion following StrangleMania XIX... Xavier Reid.
Sped up footage again then takes us through to current Monday Night BRAWL Superstars: Stitches, Morgan Darkwater, Caleb Scott, Dio, Antoni Malietoa, Chelsea Skye, Emmanuelle, JoJo Rush, KU, Amis Shelton, and others making their way onto the red brand going into a historic 25th Season of BRAWL.
We then get a shot of the Champions of BRAWL:
JoJo Rush with the EWC Hardcore Championship
Morgan Darkwater with the EWC Heritage Championship
The opening pyros blast across the stage and here we go.
A wide aerial shot shows that the Greensboro Coliseum is electric for Monday Night BRAWL!.

"ALREADY GRADING SHELTON/GOLDWORTHY 7.5 STARS"
"IF CALEB SCOTT IS A SADIST, WHO'S A MASOCHIST?"
and "609...HAHA, NICE BUT WITH A BIT OF SPACE"
Aiello: Hello everyone and welcome to Monday Night BRAWL! I'm Joe Aiello alongside the Assistant GM of the red brand, Timothy Kahrs, for a night full of fallout from StrangleMania XIX! We saw some major title changes including El Pablo beating JoJo Rush and Stitches to become the new EWC International Champion, and Xavier Reid defeating Sally Talfourd for the EWC Undisputed Championship.
Kahrs: Yep, that's great, but the less we focus on things not related to the red barand the better if you ask me! Equally important is that we saw JoJo retain the EWC Hardcore Championship against Jason Anderson, and a hell of a match between Amis Shelton and Morgan Darkwater that saw the Captain retain the EWC Heritage Championship!
Aiello: Indeed, and tonight marks a pivot on the road to Night of Champions! This year, the show featuring the Insanity Cage moves to June, and everyone is on high alert to go after the singles championships as we know those holding the belts going into the month of June will be essentially locked in...meaning the pressure is on for those contending for the titles to try and take them from the current champs! As such, our main event will see a number one contender crowned once again for the EWC Heritage Championship!
Kahrs: That's right Joe, Melinda Rhodes has been looking to prove herself once again since her return to EWC, and tonight she faces a very familiar opponent in Caleb Scott...who looks to finally get a victory over the Original Rebel! One of these two will go on to face Morgan Darkwater on our next stop on the BRAWL Tour of Season 25, and you know he's gonna keep a close eye on this one!
Aiello: Agreed, Tim! We also have hardcore action in a curious match-up, as PARAMOUNT's Ibuki Ito and PRIME's Narumi Tsutsumi specifically requested a chance to showcase their more violent nature tonight on BRAWL!
Kahrs: Two former EWC Undisputed Champions, two highly-praised athletes who have won gold on their respective brands, and both know the value of showing they can be brutal here on BRAWL? I'm gonna say it, Joe...Chris Brock and Jordan Sharpe may need to keep tabs on this match, in case one or both of them decide they wanna come brawl with the best here on the red brand!
Aiello: I'm not gonna get into brand warfare tonight Tim, but...you make a valid point. Speaking of making a statement, that's the goal of Amis Shelton tonight as he takes on the EWC United States Champion in non-title action, but can he take down a very game Cosmo Goldworthy?
Kahrs: Shelton's been running his mouth a lot as of late, but he's coming up against a man who not only retained one belt but won another, picking up the EWC Fighting Spirit Champion and, in a way, become the Best of Rampage even before they hold a tournament by that name!
Aiello: But before we get into all of that, we have an interesting match to kick things off as Ace Sky takes on Chelsea Skye, and from what I understand we are going to see former EWC NextGen Champion Sunny Skye as the special guest referee...and we have The Limit as special guest commentators.
Kahrs: Y'know something Joe...I'm a fan of dad jokes and puns, but even I think this might've been a bit overki--
The fans generate a momentous chorus of boos as “Futureproof” by Nothing But Thieves hits the speakers. The lights initially dim but then bathe the arena in a red glow. Amis Shelton emerges from behind the curtain, his silhouette casting a menacing shadow across the ramp. Dressed in his ring attire, Amis trash talks to the camera, which is drowned out by the booing capacity audience.
Climbing the steel steps with purposeful strides, Amis enters the ring and surveys the sea of jeering faces with contempt. He raises a hand, not to acknowledge the crowd, but to silence them with a dismissive gesture. He retrieves a microphone from the ring's corner before returning to the centre where a spotlight shines upon him. The entrance music fades out but the crowd response takes a little longer to oblige. Amis raises the microphone to his lips.
Amis Shelton: I suppose there’s only one thing to talk about really… StrangleMania.
The crowd erupted into a frenzy once more which slightly ticked off Shelton.
Fans: YOU TAPPED OUT! YOU TAPPED OUT! YOU TAPPED OUT!
Amis Shelton: I’ll admit it, I did tap out in front of 90,000 people. I had a steel chain wrapped around my throat whilst being caught inside a Guillotine. So yes, I lost but I’m not the only loser out here tonight, you’re all losers too.
The fans respond with a cascade of deafening boos whilst Amis just nods in the ring, waiting for the raucous response to simmer.
Amis Shelton: I don’t mean that you’re losers because you’re all fat, and lazy and spend your day munching biscuits and Krispy Kremes all day and washing it all down with that cough syrup abomination you call Cheerwine--
The boos again cut off Amis but that was to be expected, given the insults.
Amis Shelton: Hey you shut your fuckin’ mouths when the greatest of all time, Amis Shelton is holding a microphone!
The self-proclaimed Immortal Legend’s attempt to speak over the audience is in vain. Amis again decides to wait it out.
Amis Shelton: But you’re also losers because you have all been robbed. In broad daylight! You people here tonight, you people watching at home you have been robbed of an Amis Shelton Heritage Championship reign that would have fed you all for many years to come. The reign that would have put Monday Night Brawl back on the map.
The fans boo once more, though the reaction was more tame than the previous.
Amis Shelton: Yes I would boo too if I’ve been made to look a fool. But never fear because Amis Shelton has already found the culprit. The singular man responsible for this injustice, the man who made the stipulation a Steel Chain Submission match in the first place. The man who bet on the wrong guy and made the biggest mistake of his fuckin’ life. Jim Connors!
Amis leans on the ropes facing the stage as the cameras adjust their positioning.
Amis Shelton: I know you’re watching this somewhere. I thought you were a pretty decent person, Connors. Nothing stood out about you when we first met but I at least thought you had some sense, but it seems like you’ve forgotten your Brawl history.
Adjusting himself, Amis climbs onto the middle rope for more leverage.
Amis Shelton: I’m Amis Fucking Shelton! They christened me as The Renegade because I am the last person that you want to screw around. I can be the Amis Shelton that elevates the brand or the Amis Shelton that makes your life a living hell, there ain’t no in-between. Now Connors, it’s pretty clear to me the path you’re currently going down, because my name is missing from the main event match you’ve set up!
Amis retreats back to the centre of the ring.
Amis Shelton: But I’m a fair man so despite the obvious disrespect your stupid ass has shown me so far, I’m gonna give you a chance to fix it, so what I’m gonna do is drop this microphone, head on back to my locker room and I’m going to wait for you to come and apologise to me. Don’t keep me waiting.
With that said Amis tosses the microphone to the floor as “Futureproof resumes playing. Amis heads out of the ring as we fade to the EWCTV advertisement.

The camera cuts to ringside where we see Joe Aiello and Timothy Kahrs sitting at ringside.
Aiello: We welcome you back to the first Brawl after the momentous StrangleMania XIX, which saw a lot of titles change hands, with many new champions crowned! But now, we’re about to be in the presence of one of the few champions to retain at Wembley!
Kahrs: Oh snap, for real? I thought I heard JoJo Rush wasn’t going to make an appearance tonight, but I’m glad to be proven wrong – bring on the Goat Messiah!
Aiello: … Why do I feel like you’re not using that term right? But no, I’m not talking about Rush –
Kahrs: Oh! Cosmo Goldworthy, of course! The new double-champerino, let’s funkin’ gooo!
Aiello: No! I mean, yes, he is scheduled to fight later tonight, but I was referring to Brawl’s other retaining champion.
Kahrs: Wait! No…! You don’t mean… Mel–
Aiello: Shut the hell up, and don’t even finish that sentence… I mean our Heritage Champion, Captain Morgan Darkwater. What the hell is wrong with you, man? Why are you like this?
Kahrs: Oh… right… the crooked Captain. I must have fallen asleep during that match. He’s still the champ, huh? Good for him, I guess...
Aiello: How are you the assistant GM when you don’t even know a damn person on this roster? God help me… get well soon, Bennett. For all our sakes.
Any further back-and-forth is fortunately cut off by the opening riffs of “The Sunkn’ Norwegian” and the resulting cacophonous cheers from the crowd as the lights in the arena dip to focus on the main stage with a spotlight. Moments later, Captain Morgan Darkwater steps out in full pirate garb, the Brawl Heritage Championship secured around his waist, with a microphone in one hand, and a reddish-brown steel chain wrapped around the other. There’s a slight limp to his usual swagger, but the proud smile is undeniable as he stares out at the jubilant fans.
Darkwater: Good evenin’ Greensboro! Are ye all enjoyin’ yer’selves this fine night? Did ye all enjoy StrangleMania?
He holds the microphone out to pick up the crowds’ cheers, smirking and nodding before bringing it back to his lips.
Darkwater: Aye, that’s what I thought… well, fer those of ye who might have missed it, ye should be able to see a certain somethin’ still securely fastened around th’ Captain’s waist. That’s right, at StrangleMania XIX, th’ Captain came to Wembley Stadium an’ did exactly what he swore he would, provin’ all th’ naysayers wrong – he successfully defended his Heritage Champion against th’ so-called “Greatest of All Time”, Amis Shelton, in a brutal steel-chain submission match fer th’ ages! Now, I want ye all t’be honest out there when th’ Captain asks ye… who doubted he could win an’ retain his championship…?
He holds the microphone out again as an awkward silence falls over the Coliseum audience, eventually broken by a smattering of hesitant, incoherent shouts. Darkwater nods, smiling tightly, as he slowly brings the microphone back.
Darkwater: Aye, well I appreciate yer honesty, an’ there be no shame in havin’ such doubts. After all, look at what th’ Captain was facin’ – not just a hungry, bloodthirsty Amis Shelton, who may just be as great as he proclaims, not just a punishin’ an’ bloody steel-chain match he still be feelin’ today, but also th’ twilight years of his own career. That’s right, make nay mistake, th’ Captain is fully aware of his age, th’ wear an’ tear this brutalizin’ sport takes on our bodies, th’ risin’ young talent eager to make a name fer themselves… th’ odds are constantly stacked against th’ Captain, an’ not even th’ legendary Darkwater can continue this way fer’ever. But as long as th’ Captain still draws breath, as long as his blood still pumps Brawl-red, as long as he can still move an’ fight, he will not yield, he will not falter, an’ he will prevail!
He takes a pause to collect himself as renewed cheers fill the arena, the Captain slowly pacing the stage as he considers his next words.
Darkwater: Will th’ Captain finally retire, someday? Or will he continue to fight on stubbornly, long after his titles are lost, his body strugglin’ to go on, until he simply cannot? Who knows? One thing is fer certain, though, an’ that is that th’ Captain will ne’er, e’er quit, ne’er leave again, not until he’s finally done fer good, or dead. Brawl has gone too long without a hero, a true an’ proud champion, a leader they can rally behind who isn’t sufferin’ from a deluded God-complex… an’ now th’ Captain is here, he’s not leavin’ anytime soon, as as long as he’s here, he’s goin’ to give each an e’ery person who finds themselves across from him in that there ring th’ fight of their lives, regardless of whether there be gold on th’ line!
He pauses again as competing chants begin to fill the arena, Morgan encouraging each chant with a raise of his hands, as if conducting an orchestra.
LET’S GO RHODES!!
LET’S GO CALEB!!
LET’S GO RHODES!!
LET’S GO CALEB!!
LET’S GO CALEB!!
LET’S GO RHODES!!
LET’S GO CALEB!!
Darkwater: Which brings us to tonight’s main event, aye! Th’ Original Rebel, Melinda Rhodes, goes one-on-one with th’ Granite City Sadist, Caleb Scott! Th’ strong-style rockstar versus th’ hardcore brutalist, buttin’ heads once again after all these years! A returnin’ wrestlin’ darlin’ lookin’ to show th’ fans she’s truly back an’ better than e’er, finds herself up against the painted pugilist with a major chip on his shoulder, a personal agenda, an’ a desire to prove he can finally beat her once an’ fer all… an’ this time, with a great prize on th’ line: a shot at th’ Captain’s Heritage Championship, in two weeks! Who will prevail, who will go on to be the second challenger fer this beauty around th’ Captain’s waist, to give him a fight worthy of a champion, of this brand’s glorious heritage? Rhodes? Scott? Hells, th’ Captain would eagerly welcome both if he could… but undoubtedly that meddlesome miscreant, Jim Connors, has further tricks up his sleeve…
This time, the Captain is cut off by jeers and boos for the Brawl General Manager, which make the old burly pirate nod and chuckle.
Darkwater: Aye, I’m not th’ man’s biggest fan either, believe me… somethin’ about Connors rubs th’ Captain up th’ wrong way, ye know? He just reeks of insincerity an’ connivin’ schemes, an’ fer what? To try an’ get on th’ Captain’s good side, to try an make him feel like he owes him a favour, or his loyalty? Again, he has th’ Captain on th’ bench tonight when th’ Captain would rather be raisin’ hell in that very ring! But no matter! Let him think he holds all th’ cards, that he can pull th’ Captain’s strings with false pleasantries, favours an’ questionable match stipulations… it will make things all th’ sweeter when th’ Captain takes those strings… and chokes th’ life outta that weasel with ‘em!
MORGAN’S GONNA KILL YOU
MORGAN’S GONNA KILL YOU
MORGAN’S GONNA KILL YOU
Darkwater: Rhodes! Scott! Give e’eryone a hell of a show tonight… th’ Captain will be watchin’ closely. An’ Connors! Think very carefully ‘fore ye meddle in th’ Captain’s affairs again… I can promise ye, ye won’t like th’ consequences if ye do.
The Captain’s music hits again as he basks in the cheers of the fans, and we cut to a video package highlighting our first match, which sees a battle between Sky and Skye...and because the Sky(e) is The Limit, we have Sunny Skye set to be special guest referee and The Limit as our special guests on commentary…because everyone loves a good meme, right?

SINGLES MATCH
(SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: SUNNY SKYE, SPECIAL GUEST COMMENTARY: THE LIMIT)
Ace Sky
VS Chelsea Skye
We return to ringside where the fans are ready for the first match of the night!
Aiello: After that tough statement from Morgan Darkwater, we are ready to kick off the in-ring action!
Kahrs: I wanna set the jokes aside for a second and point out that Ace Sky and Chelsea Skye are looking for a crucial win to get back into the title picture--
The Limit: AND ETHAN ALEXANDER AND DJ FRANK ARE HERE TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH THIS HORSESH--
Stroup: The following match is set for one fall! Introducing first….
A Rocket sculpture drops from the bottom of the tron to the stage and the podbay doors open
Stroup: From Sugar Land, Houston Texas weighing in at 165 pounds, open your hearts, minds and third eyes' for... ACE SKY!
Ace Sky walks wearing an aviator jacket matching his attire. He walks out of the podbay doors with his head bowed and hands clasped in a prayer position then he shouts emphatically as he raises his arms with twin peace sign finger taunts, he makes the way down the aisle alternating high-fiving fans (without third eye taunt) and enters the ring with his nifty slide through the bottom ring apron rope
Stroup: And the opponent, from Chicago. Illinois, she is the “Nightmare Angel”... CHELSEA SKYE!
The Opening riff to "Reborn Through Failure" hits the speakers and Chelsea comes out ready for action, she makes her entrance and poses for the crowd once she's in the ring
DING DING DING
Chelsea fires a superkick at Ace but he catches it. He throws Her foot away but Chelsea spins on the balls of her feet and knocks Ace down with a dropkick. She lashes out with a right hand but Ace ducks it and chops Chelsea across the chest. He whips Chelsea off the ropes but she comes back hitting a flying clothesline. Chelsea runs off the ropes and knocks Ace down with a spear. Chelsea hooks the leg as Sunny Skye counts
ONE…
TWO…
THR… NO! KICK OUT!
Ace pushes his way free breaking the count. Chelsea complains to Sunny about the count allowing Ace to get to his feet. Ace smacks Chelsea in the back of the head with a roundhouse kick. Chelsea staggers before lunging at Ace. He ducks and sends Chelsea crashing to the mat with a back drop. Chelsea gets to her feet and runs off the ropes for… something but Ace takes her to the mat with a drop toe hold before dropping down onto Chelsea’s spine with an elbow. Ace runs off the ropes and crashes into a kneeling Chelsea with a meteora. He makes a cover as Sunny counts.
ONE…
TWO…
THR… NO! KICK OUT!
Chelsea lifts a shoulder from the mat to break the count.
Aiello: Close call here here, but Chelsea manages to save the match for herself here!
Kahrs: Sky's gonna need to push a bit harder to keep Skye down!
The Limit (Ethan): AW HELL NO! GET YOUR ASS INTO GEAR, ACE!
Ace lifts Chelsea to her feet and twists around her before driving Chelsea down to the mat with an EOL. Ace hooks both legs.
ONE…
TWO…
THR… NO! KICK OUT!
Chelsea just manages to lift a shoulder from the mat to break the count. Ace scowls at Sunny as he lifts Chelsea to her feet. Ace chops Chelsea hard across the chest. Twice. Ace whips Chelsea off the ropes. She leaps and kicks off the middle rope and flies back at Ace hitting an Angel’s Reckoning. She makes a cover.
ONE…
TWO…
THR… NO! KICK OUT!
Ace rolls to his side breaking the count as both lay on the mat.
Aiello: Ace is still in this!
Kahrs: But both competitors are still down!
The Limit (DJ): I swear, if these two don't GET THEIR ASSES UP, WE'RE COMING DOWN THERE AND--
Ace lifts Chelsea to her feet and positions her for a Psychedelic Spiral. Chelsea manages to counter with an arm drag. Ace gets to his feet but walks into a superkick. She falls against the ropes and climbs to the top. Chelsea leaps at Ace hitting a Skye’s The Limit. She hooks the leg. Sunny Skye counts.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!
DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall CHELSEA SKYE!
Sunny Skye raises Chelsea’s arm in victory. Chelsea rolls back through the ropes and slaps hands with the fans as she heads up the ramp.
Aiello: What a match to kick things off, but it's Chelsea Skye coming away with the win!
Kahrs: And that means now she's gotta chance to get back into the swing of things...hey fellas, where are you going?
The Limit: WE'RE HEADING TO THE PAY WINDAH TO COLLECT OUR CHECKS FOR THIS GIG, KAHRS! LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE!
Aiello: Well folks, we have more action ahead of us on BRAWL as Amis Shelton and Cosmo Goldworthy square off next!
Before we get to that, however, we head backstage ...
The camera fades in to reveal the luxurious interior of Amis Shelton's private locker room, adorned with plush furnishings and decadent decor. The air is thick with tension as Amis paces back and forth, his expression a mask of simmering rage.
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door, and the tension in the room ratchets up another notch. Amis turns towards the entrance, his jaw clenched in anticipation.
Amis Shelton: Come in!
At Amis’s cold command the door swings open, and Brawl GM Jim Connors steps cautiously into the room, his expression a mix of apprehension and defiance. He knows he's walking into the lion's den, but he's determined to stand his ground. As Connors approaches, Amis fixes him with a withering glare, his eyes boring into the GM's soul.
Jim Connors: Alright, Amis. You wanted to hear from me, and, well...I'm here.
Amis Shelton: Perfect timing, considering my match with Cosmo is up next, I just wanted to let you know that I’m not walking out of this locker room until I feel like we’ve come to an understanding.
Amis walks over to a pair of plush leather couches facing each other, separated by a glass coffee table. He sits down on his couch of choice which prompts Connors to do the same, until he is stopped by the waving hand of Shelton.
Amis Shelton: I don’t remember saying you could sit down.
The cold harsh tone stops Connors in his tracks, who clears his throat and places his hands together in front of him.
Amis Shelton: You’re right, I did ask for you to come here and if we’re being honest it shouldn’t have to take me calling you out in the middle of that ring earlier to get your attention.
Jim Connors: Listen, I've been working hard to make sure BRAWL retains its reputation as the flagship brand, what can I do about that?
Amis Shelton: I didn’t ask you to come here to make excuses. You’re here because you’ve fucked up not once but twice now and I’m letting you know that I’m not gonna stand for it. Matter of fact, do you know who Victor Price is?
Jim Connors: Well yeah, he's the man who hired me a few years ago. Of course I know who--
Connors is cut off as Amis interjects.
Amis Shelton: Victor Price was the last person who tried to fuck with me and whilst I wasn’t the one responsible for running his ass out of town, you can believe I did whatever I could to make sure that his life was a living hell whilst I could. My question to you is, do you want that Amis Shelton? Or would you rather have the Amis Shelton that can carry this entire show on his back and line up your pockets in the process? Because the way you’ve been going, The House is going to be the least of your problems.
Jim Connors: I understand that you're frustrated, Amis, but I assure you, everything I've done has been in the best interest of the company. I've always had the utmost respect for you as a competitor.
Amis scoffs derisively, his eyes narrowing into slits of pure contempt.
Amis Shelton: Respect!? You want to talk to me about respect? Oh I’m sorry, I must have missed the good intentions behind gifting your lackey Morgan Darkwater an advantageous match type at StrangleMania. And what do you have to say about this huh?
Amis reaches into his pocket to reveal a piece of folded paper. He unravels it in front of Connors, who’s eyes widen.
Amis Shelton: Right there at the bottom, Heritage Championship #1 contenders match, a triple threat match with Caleb Scott, Rebel Rhodes and who’s name is that at the bottom?
Amis throws the paper at the GM’s torso which has now revealed to be the original match card for tonight’s Monday Night Brawl before it was abruptly changed. Connors responds with a sigh.
Jim Connors: Amis Shelton.
Amis Shelton: Bingo. The funny thing is that you thought I wouldn’t find out huh? So like I said, two fuck ups on your part. So I’d think long and hard about what escapes that pie hole of yours because like I said, until we have an understanding I’m not leaving this room.
Suddenly knocks are heard once more and the door swings open to reveal an EWC crew member popping his head in.
Crew Member: Amis, we’re waiting for you.
Amis switches his gaze from the crew member at the door to Jim Connors in front of him.
Amis Shelton: So what’s it going to be?
Jim Connors: You want an understanding, Amis? Here ya go...I understand that you lost fair and square at StrangleMania XIX. I understand that you tapped out to Morgan Darkwater. And more to the point, I understand that wins and losses matter in the EWC...so do yourself a favor, and go win your match your tonight to prove you deserve another crack at any championship. Do you understand that?
Amis glares at the GM, almost taken aback by the gumption on the part of Connors before shaking his head at Jim like he's made a big mistake. Shelton then takes his leave as we move to a commercial break.
A GOLDWORTHY SWING AND AMIS!
SINGLES MATCH (NON-TITLE)
Amis Shelton
VS Cosmo Goldworthy
SINGLES MATCH (NON-TITLE)
Amis Shelton
VS Cosmo Goldworthy
We return to ringside where fans anticipate this next matchup.
Aiello: We’ve got a big matchup between two of EWC’s most arrogant superstars! Amis F’N Shelton looks to defend Brawl as he takes on Cosmo Goldworthy of Rampage!
Kahrs: This is a match with big championship implications for Amis! Cosmo is not only Rampage’s Fighting Spirit Champion, but he also holds the quad brand EWC United States Championship! If Amis wins, this will put him in title contention!
Stroup: The following match is a non-title contest scheduled for one fall! Joining us first, from Springfield, Illinois, weighing in at 195 pounds ... AMIS! F’N! SHELTON!
As the opening riffs to Nothing but Thieves' "Futureproof" hits the speakers, the crowd almost unanimously rise to their to a chorus of boos for the imminent arrival of Amis Shelton. As soon as the first verse kicks in, Amis appears from behind the curtain with arms already raised, ready to soak in the reaction from the fans with his trademark smirk. He walks down to the ramp and hops into the ring, climbing a turnbuckle with arms aloft.
Stroup: And his opponent, from The Golden State, weighing in at 201 pounds, accompanied by Dimitri Graves, he is the EWC FIGHTING SPIRIT & UNITED STATES CHAMPION ... COSMO! GOLDWORTHY!
The arena plunges into darkness as the electric beat of "Money On My Mind" reverberates throughout the building. Gold and white lines then strobe throughout the building as the EWC Fighting Spirit & United States Champion Cosmo Goldworthy swaggers out with his manager Dimitri Graves towing behind with a sinister smirk on his face. Cosmo opens up his Louis Vuitton jacket to show off the United States Championship around his waist, the gold glistening under the arena lights as he struts down the ramp. He adjusts the Fighting Spirit Championship onto his shoulder, slapping the center plate. Cosmo slides in, climbing the top rope and raising the Too Sweets up high for everyone - as regardless of if you're with The House or against them, noise is being made from every corner of the building. Cosmo drops off the top rope, removing his jacket and championships; handing both to Dimitri outside.

Cosmo rolls off of Amis, grinning as he picks up yet another victory. Dimitri takes the United States and Fighting Spirit Championships, handing them off to Cosmo who raises them up. Amis is protesting the result to the referee, but it doesn’t matter as Cosmo and Dimitri are headed backstage.
Aiello: Well! Talk about a backfire! Amis thought he had Cosmo, but Cosmo retaliated with a backup plan of his own!
Kahrs: History repeats itself! Once again, Cosmo counters the Dragoon’s Glory with a shot to the head via Brass Knuckles! Big win for the champion!
Aiello: What a match this was! Folks, we have a big hardcore match coming up next, but I'm being told The House has a message backstage!
The camera fades from black to the backstage interview area, where Bob Murray is already standing by with the House's Alastor Gray.
Bob Murray: Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am here with Alastor Gray. How are you doing tonight, Mr. Gray?
Alastor Gray: I hate to say, Murray, but Stranglemania was a bittersweet event wasn’t it? Jack Severn finished the story and won his first of certainly many championships, but at the expense of Callie Clark who we’re losing for a bit of time to a broken arm. It’s unfortunate to lose a talent like her for any amount of time, but I think the Golden Goddess earned herself a well-earned vacation after 18 months of being not just a champion, but the backbone of an entire brand.
Bob Murray: It also appears that Callie and Jack have set aside their differences.
Alastor chuckles and says with a wolf-like smile.
Alastor Gray: I think our success as a group shows just how competitive of an environment we foster at the House. Sometimes that can lead to some– friction but you can’t create that spark without friction and that spark lit a fire under the new Indy Champion. That same spark is what our new double champion, Cosmo Goldworthy needed to win the Fighting Spirit at Stranglemania against– experienced competitors like the former BORT winners, Mercenary and Vin Havoc. Then later defending his United States championship against the two-time former United States champion, Lavender in a grueling ladder match.
Bob Murray: Well Goldworthy has rather large cowboy boots to fill after JoJo Rush failed to successfully defend his International Championship in a triple-threat against El Pablo, only a few hours following his intense Hardcore title defense against the Boss, Jason Anderson.
Gray performatively sighs and shakes his head dejectedly, after sucking his teeth.
Alastor Gray: Of course, all good things must come to an end, and my client ends his run after an impressive 274 days as a double-champion with five successful defenses between the International and X-Division Title, which eventually found itself replaced with the Hardcore belt. JoJo could’ve taken the easy way out and defended one belt every five months, but he exemplified what it means to be a fighting champion. I think he proved he has exactly what it takes to be the Undisputed Champion. However…
Alastor straightens himself out before continuing.
Alastor Gray: But like my other clients, Callie Clark, and Tori Taylor. JoJo Rush is unable to compete until they can clear EWC’s rigorous concussion protocol. As a result, he must relinquish his Hardcore Championship at Brawl 610 in Calgary, Alberta.
Bob Murray: Wow, that’s massive news, I imagine your client didn’t take that news lightly.
Alastor Gray: And why might you say that, Mr. Murray?
Bob doesn’t say a thing, but gestures vaguely whilst grimacing.
Alastor Gray: I’ll let my client share his thoughts and feelings at Calgary. Until then, it’s been a pleasure, Bill.
Alastor says with a nod leaving Bob Murray to face the camera to mutter.
Bob Murray: It’s Bob- Anyway! You heard it here first! The Hardcore Champion is turning over his Hardcore Championship, and who knows what else the future has in store for Monday’s resident housemate. We’ll be back after the break.
The camera fades to black before we move to a commercial break.

SINGLES MATCH, HARDCORE RULES, FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
Ibuki Ito
VS Narumi Tsutsumi
We return to ringside where the crowd is chomping at the bit for our next match!
Aiello: Welcome back, folks! Up next we have hardcore action as PARAMOUNT's Ibuki Ito takes on PRIME's Narumi Tsutsumi!
Kahrs: Ito promised to embrace the side of him that was once known as Killjoy, and Narumi's looking to capitalize on the Hellevator win!
Stroup: The following match, set for one fall, is a Hardcore Match. Joining us first, making her way to the ring, weighing in at 125 pounds, from Shinjuku Japan.......she is The Grade One Yokai... NARUMI TSUTSUMI!
The arena goes dark with colourful decals appear on the video entrance as ‘Icon’ by Twice plays while the silhouette of a magical girl transformation occurs behind a dropped curtain. Narumi then bursts out of the curtain in a slightly muddy stained green chibi oni printed boiler suit and her kanabo called Yorujubo in her right hand. Narumi flashes a thrilling, almost devious, smirk as she points the yokai club towards the ring and slowly slinks down the ramp. She leaves her club on the steps after giving a little prayer/whisper at the club and she enters the ring and slowly lifts her hand up to the air and makes whatever grade number of yokai she is with her finger(s) and then points her number hand at the ramp or opponent.
Stroup: And the opponent, residing in Daly City, California and weighing in at 235 pounds... IBUKI ITO!
‘The Prodigal Son’ Buddy Love walks out onto the stage and raises his arms into the air as the lights fade out. He jumps up and down as ‘Deeper Depper’ begins to play. A strobe light circles around the stage as a single white spotlight hits the stage where Ibuki is standing, his back facing the ring, his arms stretched out and his head down. He swings around to face the ring as Buddy Love runs up and stands next to him. After a quick word the pair start to walk towards the ring, Buddy runs ahead and charges up the steps and holds open the ropes for Killjoy to step through. Ibuki walks to the center of the ring, extends his arms and tilts his head back to soak everything in.

She rolls him right through and cracks Ito with another roundhouse kick. Ito stagers to the corner. Narumi smacks him with forearms and whips him off the ropes. Ito reverses sending Narumi off the ropes but she rebounds hitting a Superman punch. Narumi grabs Ito with a waistlock but Ito bends forward and grabs her leg sending Narumi crashing to the mat. Ito still holds Narumi’s leg as he turns but Narumi rolls him into a small package.

Narumi reaches through the ropes but Ito smacks her with nightstick. She falls to the floor as Ito lashes out with the nightstick...but Narumi ducks! She pulls the nightstick from his grip and she smacks Ito in the ribs, dropping him to his knees as the ref steps out of the ring to keep an eye on things. Narumi grabs Ito’s arm and twists him for a Paymon. Ito manages to counter, driving Narumi into the ring post with a powerbomb! Narumi drops down hard, slowly rising to her knees. Narumi raises her arms into the air in victory before rolling from the ring. She slowly makes her way up the ramp limping as she goes.
Aiello: She looks like she can barely stand but Narumi Tsutsumi picks up the victory in this one!
Kahrs: Not as many weapons as you would expect from this match type but it was still hard hitting. Had Ibuki Ito hit the Kettei-Da, this could have been his win here. Unfortunately for him though, that didn’t happen.
Aiello: It's been a wild night so far folks, but up next is our main event as Melinda Rhodes takes on Caleb Scott! Who will move on to challenge for the EWC Heritage Championship? Find out when we come back!
We move to a commercial break.

SINGLES MATCH
WINNER FACES CAPTAIN MORGAN DARKWATER FOR THE EWC HERITAGE CHAMPIONSHIP @ BRAWL #610
Caleb Scott
VS Melinda Rhodes
We return to ringside where fans are clamoring for our main event!
Aiello: This is it, ladies and gentlemen, our Main Event of the evening! "The Original Rebel" Melinda Rhodes is back, and hungry to prove herself after an almost career-ending injury. But with her return comes old foes and rivals, including her opponent here tonight, Monday's Malevolence, Caleb Scott. Whilst the records may lean heavily in Rhodes' favour, it's all to play for tonight with a title shot at Captain Darkwater's Heritage Championship on Brawl #610, and you can bet Caleb Scott will be gunning on all cylinders for that, just as much as Rhodes.
Kahrs: Speaking of the Cap'n, I have received word that our esteemed General Manager Jim Connors has instructed that Darkwater not be allowed at ringside for this match. Which means we're being graciously spared his awful guest commentary!
We cut to backstage where, sure enough, Captain Morgan Darkwater is sat in his private locker room, the Heritage title on his lap, as he regard the live feed at ringside on a large TV. In the background we can see a pair of EWC security standing guard, more to keep him in the room than protect him from outside threats, the Captain clearly seething at this unjust treatment.
Kahrs: Haha! Look at him, sulking in there like a caged bear!
Aiello: I wouldn't be so quick to poke that particular bear...
Stroup: The following match is set for one fall...!
The lights drop to a dim blue only to brighten to a bright red as "Coming for Blood" by Eva Under Fire plays over the P/A speakers. With a pyro explosion, the Rebel bounds from the curtains and onto that stage with a wicked grin. She sports her ring gear: a red leather vest with her winged star logo, aviator shades, and fingerless gloves. Twirling a bright red aluminum baseball bat in her hand, Mel strides down the aisle, taking her time and rocking with the fans in attendance. She's high-fiving fans, giving hugs to kids, and one lucky fan's child ends up with a parting gift, her chrome aviator shades getting placed right on the kid's face.
Stroup: HAILING FROM ROME, GA, SHE STANDS AT 5' 11" AND WEIGHS IN AT 140 LBS.... "THE ORIGINAL REBEL"... MMMMMMEEEELLLLLLIIINNNDDDAAAA RRRRRHHHHOOOODDDDDEEESSS!!!
After making the rounds at ringside, pumping up the front row fans, Rhodes slides under the ropes, pops up and runs up to the far turnbuckle, throwing a three fingered salute while headbanging to her music. She then turns and runs to and up the opposite turnbuckle, arms out at her sides as she shouts "THERE'S ONLY ONE REBEL... AND THAT'S ME!!!" to the fans, working them up just a little bit more. She then hops down, pulls the vest off and tosses it aside, crouching low in her corner and waiting…
Stroup: And the opponent, from St Cloud, Minnesota and weighing in at 225 pounds... CALEB SCOTT!
The lights shut off, flooding the crowd in darkness as the tension begins to rise.
“Are you buried alive!?!”
The screaming vocals tear through the venue with white lights flickering to the beat. A spotlight shines from above the ring to the stage, revealing Caleb Scott in his leather jacket with a hood pulled over his head. He takes a brief look around at the crowd before walking down the ramp as the white lights continue to flicker. Caleb walks up the steps and enters the ring. Standing in the middle of the ring, Caleb slowly begins to raise his arms to the side.
“I can’t stop, my path is set.”
The tension builds as he brings his hands up, and grips onto his hood.
“All I know is violence!”
Caleb throws his hood back and extends his arms to the side.

Both move for a tie up but Rhodes grabs Caleb’s arm. She twists it into an arm wringer and chops Caleb hard across the chest. Twice. Rhodes attempts a third but Caleb ducks it. Rhodes lifts a shoulder from the mat breaking the count.
Aiello: A close one there!
Kahrs: If anything, I’d say it’s both showing what they can do. A statement of intent if you will. I wonder if our proud champ is enjoying the show...?
We cut to the backstage camera again, though this time the Captain's locker room is in disarray, with the flatscreen TV flickering from a shattered screen as it hangs at an angle off the wall, one of the two EWC security guards lying in a heap at the foot of the wall below it. The camera slowly pans to reveal the other guard having been smashed through the bench the Captain had been sitting on previously, before rising up to hang on the sight of the door to the locker room hanging off its hinges.
Kahrs: What the hell happened there...?!
Aiello: I told you to be careful around the Captain! Looks like he isn't satisfied simply watching this hot Main Event play out on TV!
Back to the match, and Rhodes is finally to her feet, but Caleb grabs her taking Rhodes over with a German suplex. She rolls to her feet but Caleb smashes into her with a clothesline from Hell. Rhodes staggers to her feet but Caleb runs through her with a spear. He hooks the leg.

THR… NO! KICK OUT!
Rhodes rolls to her side to break the count.
Aiello: So, so close! This is still anyone's game, we could --
He's abruptly cut off as the camera switches to main stage, the curtain jerking wildly as another EWC security guard is thrown throw it with a ragged cry, hitting the ground and rolling to a stop as Captain Darkwater steps out to excited cheers. With the Heritage title slung over his broad shoulder, he begins marching purposefully down towards the ring, shrugging off any and all attempts to hold him back from the guards that come scurrying out to try and stop him. But not only does he seem to pay them no mind, but he makes no effort to get close enough to the ring to interfere in the match, instead pacing around it slightly, stroking his shaggy beard thoughtfully as he watches the fight unfold, even as he's idly batting off the guards until they finally realise they're outmatches, and retreat to leave him to his business.
Kahrs: What's he doing here? He can't be here!
Aiello: You want to be the one to tell the Captain where he can and can't go? Be my guest.
Kahrs: ... I'm good.
Both Rhodes and Scott seem to hesitate once they notice the Captain's presence, the Rebel regarding him with an almost fond smirk of curiosity as the Sadist takes it as a more immediate threat, stepping forward to challenge Darkwater, daring him to make a move. The Captain simply waves him off with a bemused smile, gesturing to the two of them in a "Don't mind me" way, urging them to continue the match. Caleb is the first to act, as he lifts Rhodes up for a piledriver or a powerbomb. Whatever it was, Rhodes counters with a hurricanrana anyway. As Caleb gets to his feet, Rhodes runs off the ropes and handsprings back hitting a moonsault. Caleb gets to his feet but Rhodes manages to lift him hitting a jacknife powerbomb. She makes a cover.

Aiello: That was a close one! Even you have to admit that!
Kahrs: I do! Honest to the wrestling gods I thought Rhodes had this one won after that Livin’ On A Prayer! If only I didn't have to see it on these monitors...!
Morgan himself is applauding the two competitors as he sits on the edge of the announcer's table, obscuring Kahrs' physical view with his broad frame as he reaches back and grabs the assistant-GM's bottled water, unscrewing the cap and pouring the entire bottle into his open mouth, crushing the empty plastic and tossing it casually over his shoulder, where it bounces off Kahrs' head. Kahrs stands up as if to shout out, but quickly reconsiders and sits back down, gaze firmly locked on the monitors set into the table.
Caleb pulls himself to his feet but he’s taken back to the mat with a Skull Tattoo. Rhodes rolls him over and hooks the leg.

A toe on the bottom rope is all that keeps this match from ending.
Aiello: Saved by a toe!
Kahrs: Just like the Ninja Turtles when they were helped by Hama-toe Yoshi!
Somehow, it seems like the Captain overheard this comment, the large man slowly turning in his seat to fix Kahrs with a scathing look, silently judging his terrible pun as the assistant GM shrinks back in his chair.
Caleb lifts Rhodes to her feet and up for a Grave Plot. Rhodes manages to slip from his grasp and takes him to the mat with a Chop Block. As Caleb clutches at his knee, Rhodes climbs to the top rope and leaps for a Rebel Star Press. At the last second, Caleb rolls to his side and Rhodes crashes to the mat. Both pull themselves to their feet. Caleb is able to scoop Rhodes up and he drives her down with a Final Resting Place. He makes a cover.

DING DING DING
Stroup: And your winner, via pinfall CALEB SCOTT!
Aiello: That has to go down as a big win! A victory over Melinda Rhodes is not an easy task, however, on this night Caleb Scott did just that!
Kahrs: It’s a very big win but had she hit the Rebel Yell flying… thing, this could easily have gone her way and we’d be talking about how big a win over Caleb Scott was.
Standing in the middle of the ring, Caleb slowly begins to raise his arms to the side. He holds his arms out as he soaks in the cheers and jeers from the crowd. He rolls from the ring, but instead of heading up the ramp he instead makes his way purposefully over to the Captain, the larger man slowly pushing himself up off the announcer's table to meet the Sadist's approach, his gaze hard and steady as he cocks his head curiously to one side, hand on his Heritage title.
Scott stops inches from the Captain, uncowed by the almost foot difference in their height, much less the large weight difference. His cold, hard gaze is instead focused on the Heritage title over the Captain's shoulder, a cruel sneer slowly stretching over his black lips. He jabs a finger against the faceplate, then jerks his thumb back towards his chest, confidently claiming the title as his own, much to Morgan's bemusement, making the larger man shake with soft chuckles as he admires the arrogance and confidence in his new challenger. This only seems to rile Scott, who gets up in the Captain's face, spit flying as he begins hurling incoherent statements with a rising ire, Darkwater's expression slowly darkening as he glowers at the constantly jabbing finger on his chest. Just when it looks like he's about to grab Scott's hand, probably to crush it, the two men are interrupted by a familiar voice.
Connors: Whoa, whoa, whoa! One more move, from either of you, and your title match is forfeit...! Dammit, Captain, can you not do anything I ask? I request you stay home and rest, and what do you do? You come onto my show anyway, and make yourself a part of commentary! I make your first title defence a steel-chain submission match to help you let loose, and what do you do? You damn-near choke Shelton out, to the point he almost couldn't even submit! And tonight, after I had let you come out here earlier to say your piece, I asked for you to stay backstage during this Main Event, and what did you do? You run riot all the way to the ring just to get a front-row seat! I want to like you, Captain, I really do - I want to help make that Heritage Championship the biggest and brightest it can be, just as much as you, but you're not making it easy to get along with you. I don't know why you have to see me as your enemy, when all I've done is try and help you be the best champion you can be, the kind of champion Brawl needs!
Morgan steps around Scott, who tenses as if ready to lash out before remembering Connors warning, and reluctantly lets the Captain past. Darkwater's attention is fully on the Brawl GM at this point, the burly pirate needing no microphone in hand for his words to carry over the cheering crowds.
Darkwater: I ne'er asked fer yer help, Connors! I didn't fight to win this title just to play yer damned puppet! Keep messin' in th' Captain's affairs, ye won't like th' consequences!
Connors: Are you threatening me? Seriously? After all I've done for you? God, man, you are impossible... You know what? I'm sick of people accusing me of favoring you, for whatever reason...and after what I dealt with earlier tonight, it's clear to me that I need to set things right. So...in two weeks, when we head to the Saddledome, the EWC Heritage Championship will have a special guest referee...and it's gonna be the so-called Immortal Legend himself, Amis Shelton!
The crowd goes wild at the news as the camera focuses on the Captain and the Heritage title over his shoulder, his gaze hard and cold as he regards the General Manager carefully, as if trying to weigh-up the true purpose of this stipulation. Finally he nods, acknowledging Connors' decision with a nonchalant shrug, and turns back to once again face Caleb Scott...
Who brings his chained baseball bat arcing down on the Captain's skull with a sickening crack!
But the Captain doesn't go down! In fact, he barely staggers as he instead leans into the bat, fresh blood flowing down his forehead as he leers down at the defiant Scott, a wicked grin spreading across his cracked lips as the two men glare daggers at each other, neither backing down as the Captain's blood drips onto the Heritage title's golden faceplate.
Aiello: A horrific, cowardly blow from #1 Contender, Caleb Scott! But it's gonna take a lot more than that to bring the Captain down! These two are already out for blood, and you heard it here first, folks! We have got ourselves one incredible Main Event set for Brawl #610, May 20th! Captain Morgan Darkwater, fresh from his powerful first title defence at StrangleMania XIX, finds himself facing the Granite City Sadist, Caleb Scott, with Amis Shelton as the special guest referee, for the EWC Heritage Championship! We will see you then, goodnight!!
The last thing we see is both men continuing to stare each other down ahead of a curious title match in two weeks from Calgary, as this edition of BRAWL comes to a close...
