The music fills Everbank Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida as a video starts to play on the giant X-Tron above the stage for tonight's event. A montage detailing many of the historic events that have taken place in the five year history of the UPRISING PPV. From The debut of Wes Walker at the USS KIDD Invitational, the return of the North American championship in a ladder match that Kyle Gautier won, Melody Malone Vs Stitches Vs Robbie Rayder for the FSW Championship, Wes Walker as North American Champion facing off against Kyle Gautier and then clips of Candy Versus Stitches in Carnival Carnage, Marcu$ $t. John beating Darius in a no holds bared match, David Miller retaining the CW Broadcast championship over Jake Lumas, Ace King standing tall with the EWC Undisputed championship and Stitches with the EWC X-Division Championship, then moving to clips from UPRISING XXII including Killjoy Ito retaining the EWC Undisputed championship over Asriel Buzzard, and then James Keaton standing tall with both the CW Broadcast championship and the EWC North American championship in his arms. The montage then switches to show some highlights from UPRISING XXIII including El Pablo standing tall after beating Melody Malone, earning him a shot at the EWC Undisputed championship, 3pAC winning the EWC World Tag Team Championships from Bloody Sureiyazu, Chris Brock caning King Flip, a surprise appearance of David Miller, and Ibuki Ito winning the EWC North American Championship over Salvation!
As Pyro starts to go off the fans in Jacksonville, Florida are on their feet! The video then starts highlighting some of the current roster of Paramount Wrestling such as, Next Level, "The Beautiful Battleship" Sonya, Ibuki Ito, Amber Lisa, Shaker Jones, Carrie Samson, Rick Rampage, Apollo Polamalu, Brett Kennedy, Jack Hart, Adriana Aquilla, Emma Louise, 3PAC, Sueñe El Molde, Sakura Yamamoto, FBG, and Raca Jakodi. The final images shown are a montage of Xavier Reid, the EWC Undisputed Championship Proudly over his shoulder as he stands tall, Captain Morgan Darkwater with the EWC Hardcore Championship slung over a shoulder and the EWC Heritage Championship around his waist, El Pablo and the EWC International Championship draped across his chest as he guzzles a packet of skittles, Cosmo Goldworthy proudly sporting the EWC United States championship around his waist and the EWC Fighting Spirit championship over his right shoulder, the Heat Packers holding the EWC World Tag Team Championships aloft, The Lad proudly sporting the EWC TV Championship around his waist, Tanja Devereaux with the Dynasty Championship clutched to her chest, and finally Marcu$ $t. John and the EWC North American championship high over his head.
Back inside Everbank Stadium, the crowd is absolutely electric now as spotlights circle around the stadium as the thousands of fans in attendance are shown in a wide angle shot. The camera then pans back out showing a full-scale view of the jam-packed stadium and zooms in on some crazy fans. The crowd is rowdy, chanting the company's namesake at such a loud volume that it's a wonder that the music can be heard at all. The camera begins to get some shots of the various signs that they have brought tonight:

Fireworks emit outside the building and then all around the ring while a fog machine covers the arena in an Orange and White haze!
The fans go crazy as the the camera cuts to the announce table for this evening as Tim Watson and Cid Sydney are standing by!
Watson: We are 17 miles from the Gulf of Mexico in beautiful Jacksonville, Florida where tonight Paramount Wrestling Presents UPRISING 2024!!!! I am Tim Watson, HE IS Cid Sydney, and we are so proud to be calling the action here tonight where we have anincredible lineup for you all tonight!
Sydney: We have three, count them THREE title fights tonight, a tag team showcase and Prime is going to try to invade against our very own Samoan wrecking ball! But first, we have to cut to what will be a match that will be happening all night long! Not long ago, the Brightline bullet train left Miami, FL and is currently en route the as yet open to the public Brightline station here in Jacksonville. On that train are Ibuki Ito and Marcu$ $t. John and they will be fighting non-stop until one of them can throw the other OFF of the train! The winner will be rewarded the EWC North American championship! Let's cut to the action right now, shall we?!
All attention goes to the Extreme-Tron, as on screen is a drone shot of the Brightline train.
Watson: It’s all or nothing! Who will leave with the North American Championship?!
Starr: The following match is a Brightline Crazy Train match and it is for the EWC North American Championship! If Ibuki Ito loses this match, he can NEVER challenge for the North American Championship again! Joining us first, the challenger, ... IBUKI! ITO!
The stakes are at an absolute high for Ibuki Ito here. The camera focuses on Ito sitting in the train car, contemplating what happens if he loses this. He adjusts himself, rising to his feet. Ito claps his hands, more than determined to prove a point and get his championship back.
Starr: And his opponent, the EWC North American Champion ... MARCU$! $T! JOHN!
Marcu$ $t John rises to his feet, without his championship belt. He paces back and forth, taking deep breaths. The pressure is firmly mounted on the shoulders of the champion… But it’s not something he hasn’t overcome before.
Watson: These men are WAR READY! Paramount faithful? If you don’t know what the Crazy Train match is? You’re about to see for yourself!
DING DING DING
Both men travel through the train, aware of what’s bound to come on the side. They look around the train, adorned with weapons as if they were placed under a ring. As they move through the doors, Ito picks up a kendo stick and M$J grabs a steel pipe. Finally, Ito sees M$J through the window and narrows his eyes. He shifts to the side, out of view as the North American Champion approaches his side and opens the doors… ONLY TO BE STRUCK IN THE LEG WITH THE KENDO STICK! He yells out in pain as Ito gets him again! He raises it up, aiming for the back, but M$J drives the top of the steel pipe into his ribs. He presses it to his throat, forcing him against the wall as he begins to choke him with the pipe! Ito coughs out, gasping for air. M$J tries to choke all the life out of Ito, but he kicks him in the ribs! Ito forearms M$J! M$J wobbles, and Ito slams his head into the wall! Ito stomps M$J out, forcing him to cover up. He picks up the kendo stick and smacks it across the back! He does it again! M$J cries out, and the welts on his back are immediately noticeable. Ito raises up the kendo one last time, but M$J finds a way to catch it in his hands! He yanks it out of Ito’s hands, slashing him across the ribs with it!
Ito falls over, holding his ribs in burning paint. M$J puts the kendo in front of his throat, choking him out with it! Ito struggles, coughing out in pain. M$J pulls him back, trying to yank him down. Ito elbows him back. He takes the kendo and trips him onto his back. Ito raises it up and M$J trips him with a drop toe hold! Ito tries to get up, but M$J raises the kendo stick and smashes it over the back of the head! Ito falls over, holding his head. M$J drops if and places Ito in the train seat, forcing him there and starts punching him! Ito tries to cover up, but M$J is going to work on him. M$J pulls him out the seat and meets him with an european uppercut! He drags Ito up and throws him into the seat on the other side! He goes back to punching the hell out of him! Ito covers up, but he overpowers M$J, lifting him up and tackling him to the concrete floor!
M$J wheezes out in pain as Ito starts throwing elbows to the chest and then the head! M$J kicks him back, groaning. He works his way up to his feet, and swings for Ito who ducks. Ito grabs M$J by the waist and tosses him with a german suplex on the concrete! M$J holds the back of his head, gasping for air. He looks up to the ceiling, in shock. Ito reaches up for M$J’s pipe and turns to approach him. He leans down to try and get his legs — but M$J kicks him in the eye! Ito falls back, holding his eye in pain. M$J slowly rises and as Ito tries to rise, M$J charges into a bicycle knee strike to the head! Ito falls forward, crashing into the pole! He drops the pipe, trying to use the pipe to stand; but M$J takes the pipe and hits him in the back of the knee with it!
Ito yells out in pain, then M$J raises the pipe and smashes him over the back! M$J pulls the pipe down and takes Ito by the hair, slamming his head into the steel pole repeatedly! Ito continuously gets his head bashed into the pole over and over! M$J let’s go of Ito, who stumbles backwards to the door. M$J nods, charging into a HUGE DROPKICK THROUGH THE DOOR! Ito goes down, falling into the other car. He holds the back of his head, wincing. M$J rubs his hip, rising, and approaching the champion. He takes him by the hair, trying to slam him into the window, but Ito stops it! He elbows M$J in the ribs, then he headbutts him! Ito leans M$J against the desk infront of the chairs, battering him repeatedly. He lies him out vertically on the desk, and then Ito reaches to the weapons on the side and grabs a steel chair!
He grins, raising it overhead only for M$J to front kick the chair into his face! Ito falls to a knee, and M$J slips off, grabbing the chair. He smashes Ito over the back! Ito yells out in agony, he turns back and M$J jabs it into his throat! Ito falls to a seat and M$J cracks him over the head with it! Ito falls limp, and M$J places the chair down, unfolding it into seated position. Ito rolls over, trying to shake off the cobwebs. M$J grabs Ito up and Ito punches him in the ribs! He punches him in the ribs again! M$J tries to lift him, but Ito scoops him into a powerslam grip! MICHINOKU DRIVER ON THE CHAIR! THE CHAIR BENDS AND GOES DOWN, AND M$J HOLDS HIS BACK IN AGONY!
Watson: What a deadly Michinoku Driver from Ibuki Ito! Marcu$ $t John is in clear pain! Look at his back!
Sydney: Completely red! I guess this Crazy Train match is crazy after all!
The champion is lying in agony. Instinctually, Ito goes for the cover, until he realizes that won’t be enough to win this match. Ito slowly works his way up, watching as M$J is still holding his back. Ito approaches one of the desks in front of the chair and wraps his hands on the appliance. He starts bashing the side and with his bare hands, rips it off! The strength of the challenger is on full display as M$J rises… AND ITO CRACKS IT OVER HIS HEAD! M$J goes down in a heap! Ito throws it on him and jumps into a double foot stomp! M$J winces out in pain, and Ito rises. He looks to the windows, trying to throw him into it, but M$J holds on! He elbows Ito back! High kick to the jaw! Enzuigiri into one of the seats! Ito sits there as M$J slowly rises up…
Ito has the cushion to recover, and he rises to his feet and meets M$J with a nasty elbow! M$J gets him with one of his own! Ito elbows him back! M$J chops him! Then he slaps him! AND SPINS INTO A BACK—ITO CATCHES THE WAIST! GERMAN SUPLEX INTO THE STEEL POLE! THE BACK OF M$J’S HEAD CRASHES INTO THE STEEL AND HE FALLS TO THE GROUND! M$J’s eyes bulge out of his head as he leans his head down to his chest, blood leaking out the back of his head. The champion clearly has no idea where he’s at right now, and Ito grins. He leans M$J’s bloodied head against the pole and meets him with a forearm! Then another one! And a third for good measure! M$J is defenseless as Ito rises and backs up, CHARGING INTO A BOOT TO THE HEAD, SMASHING M$J’S HEAD INTO THE STEEL POLE! M$J rolls over, and the blood drips down his head and to his back.
There’s a bit of a dismissive look on the face of Ito, who feels he has this one in the bag. Ito drags M$J up and throws him into the door! But instead of opening, it stays stiff and M$J’s entire body crashes into it! Ito chuckles, picking M$J up. He does it again, and the door refuses to open off impact! Ito grins, not mad at M$J suffering more pain. He drags him up and tosses him a third time, but the champion stops at the last second! Ito approaches him and M$J back elbows him away! M$J is still clutching his head as Ito charges in— AND MARCU$ HOISTS HIM UP FOR A FLAPJACK INTO THE GLASS WINDOW OF THE DOOR! The glass cracks and Ito is cut open!
He goes down, and M$J falls on top of him! He transitions to mount and starts throwing punches with all he’s got! The fists are connecting, battering Ito as he has no response! You can hear the loud smack of skin connecting, and under Ito’s eye is a cut opening up as well. The challenger is starting to bleed and M$J drags him up! He repeatedly slams his head into the window, the glass cracking more and more! Ito falls back, holding at his forehead. He literally can’t think due to how much pain he’s in. M$J opens the door and takes Ito’s arm, placing it in between.. THEN M$J TAKES THE DOOR AND SLAMS IT INTO ITO’S ARM! Ito yells out in agony! He’s not done, though! He then kicks his arm out the doorway, but keeps his fingers there! M$J SLAMS THE DOOR INTO ITO’S FINGERS! ITO YELPS OUT, IN UNTHINKABLE PAIN!
M$J HOLDS THE DOOR THERE, APPLYING PRESSURE ON ITO’S FINGERS! His eyes widen from pain and shock, his fingers starting to turn red as M$J refuses to stop! Ito is banging his hand on the door, trying to push it back or open it! M$J finally lets go and Ito backs away, gasping for air. He stares at his red fingers, his entire hand twitching. Ito looks up to M$J, unable to comprehend what’s going on as M$J stomps his face into the ground! Ito stares at the ceiling, at a complete loss for words. M$J drags Ito into the next car, pulling him up and lying him on one of the desks. Ito is barely conscious, while M$J reaches around and finds a wrench..?!?
Ito is starting to rise, as M$J drives it into his forehead! Ito winces out in pain! M$J raises again and bashes it into his mouth! Ito spits out blood on impact, his lips also bloodied. M$J winds back one more time, but Ito gets desperate and kicks him right in the nuts! Ito rolls off the bench, sprawled out in pain. M$J wheezes, clutching his groin with care. Ito takes the wrench and bashes it into the side of M$J’s head, gleefully watching as his head bounces off the floor! M$J rolls over, groaning. Ito takes the wrench and applies it to the ear of M$J! M$J scrambles, trying to get up but Ito is clenching tight onto his ear! Ito yells at M$J in satisfaction, while M$J is hollering in pain! Ito continues to wrench on the ear of M$J, as it turns red and begins bleeding! M$J slaps his hands onto the floor, trying to recover but he can’t! Ito is tugging on that ear with all his might!
M$J struggles, and Ito pulls him up. Ito places M$J’s head against the desk, his ear still attached to the wrench. Ito placed an elbow on the ear, keeping it stuck there and have even more pressure. M$J kicks his legs in pain, crying out in agony. Ito reaches around and finds a used beer bottle, something that they didn’t clean up from a past passenger?!? Ito stares at the bottle and grins. He raises his elbow and while M$J is scrambling to free his ear, ITO LAUNCHES THE BOTTLE RIGHT INTO THE WRENCH AND EAR OF M$J! THE GLASS EXPLODES OFF IMPACT AND M$J FALLS TO THE FLOOR, BLOOD LEAKING OUT OF HIS EAR! He lets out a guttural cry, rolling around, clutching at his ear like he got shot. M$J rolls into a ball, whimpering in pain. He tries to get up and Ito just boots him down.
Watson: OH MY GOD! ITO IS TRYING TO TAKE HIS EAR OFF! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT?!
Sydney: It’s win by any means necessary! Only one man can leave on this train and Ito needs it to be him or he can kiss this title goodbye forever!
Watson: We will be checking in on this match throughout the night folks, so keep glued to your seat! Other than this match, however, we have such a -
Tim is cut off as the orchestral sounds of "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor begins to blare throughout the sold out crowd in Jacksonville! The crowd, already hyped up over the battle raging on between Ibuki Ito and Marcu$ $t. John, are on their feet and losing their minds as the General Manager of Paramount Wrestling, Chris Brock, comes walking down the ramp toward the ring! As is custom for this event, Brock is wearing a backwards black hat, which sports the Paramount Wrestling logo on it, suit pants, a button down shirt and over that is a black trench coat. Brock storms to the ring, wasting no time in making it to ringside and walking right up to Isabella Starr and asking for the microphone.
Watson: It looks like we are going to get our yearly state of the brand address from our leader! Give 'Em hell Brock!
Brock slides under the bottom rope, popping up in the center of the ring as he looks around at the sea of EWC fans. He brings the microphone to his mouth, but is cut off by the fans who begin a chant:
Brock laughs uncontrollably for a moment as the crowd chants. Once they settle down, Brock puts the mic back to his mouth:
Brock: Wow!... I feel like I'm back in Philly, thank you for that! Not many remember that I lived there for quite a bit during my prime, so to hear it from a damn near hometown crowd for me, it warms my heart. Thank you.
The crowd cheers before Brock continues.
Brock: NOW!... On to business! You see, for a few weeks now the backstage crew that is the show runners, we've been sitting back and listening, despite what some on the EWC roster would have you believe. We've been listening because we are about to hit a very important part of the EWC calendar... EWC Night of Champions!
Another cheer from the crowd.
Brock: On June 24th, EWC will bring to you all the twenty first edition of one of the most unique combat sporting events ever. In the Main Event of that show, we will be featuring the structure known as the INSANTIY CAGE. Three tiers, EVERY EWC singles champion, and the winner, the person who can throw another human being off of that structure and onto the a burning goddamn table below, will be truly UNDISPUTED as well as be awarded the EWC Undisputed championship!
After tonight, every singles championship in all of Extreme Championship Wrestling freezes until after Night of Champions, but not before we we decide THREE of them here tonight! Rick Rampage, fresh off of a non-title win over the current EWC Dynasty champion, will get his opportunity to capture that title in a PURE RULES Match!
Then, the battle of the seemingly unstoppable as last year's without a doubt rookie of the year, Cosmo Goldworthy, goes against the man who is most certainly at least in the conversation for that moniker this year, The Lad, go head to head for Cosmo's EWC United States Championship. This match, folks, it could very well be match of the year and it's only May!!!
The crowd agrees as they cheer for the two men who will do battle later tonight!
Brock: And as we've seen, the Main Event of tonight's show has already begun as the train has left the station and Ibuki Ito is getting what could be his FINAL shop at the EWC North American championship!
We also have a tag team showcase tonight that is a pseudo-rematch from WorldWide just a few nights ago, which will see Young Justice take on 3pAC, who just won Contendership to the EWC World Tag Team championships! and our opening bout will see Prime's Nomad Ryder take on the number one contender to the EWC North American championship, Apollo Polamalu! What a show we have tonight folks, am I right?!
The crowd cheers in response, showing their anticipation for tonight's slate of violence!
Brock: But back to listening... See, while people think that the "Powers that be" don't pay attention to what is going on around here, I am going to show you all that this is the furthest thing from the truth. SO... I am here to announce a few things to kick us off.
First, I want to address the elephant in the room.. The EWC Undisputed championship resides on Paramount and it was my intention to see it defended here tonight... but apparently trying to get people to wrestle when they are owed a rematch is near impossible as Sally Talfourd told me in no uncertain terms that she wanted nothing to do with appearing on Paramount ever again.
The crowd boo's at the mention of the FORMER Paramount member.
Brock: No now, that is her choice to make, but it's also her choice to then forgo her rematch for the Undisputed championship. SO.. Xavier will defend for the first time in the Insanity cage at Night of Champions, that you already know. What you do not know, however, is that the first Paramount AFTER Night of champions, I am going to right a wrong. The Paramount crowd deserves an Undisputed championship match, and so they will have it. July 10th, first Paramount show post Night of Champions will see whomever is Undisputed champion take on the man who absolutely has proven that he deserves the next shot... and that is Cosmo Goldworthy! That is, if he is not already Undisputed champion. If he is, then he will be defending the title at Paramount 46!
The crowd roars at this news!
Brock: I'm not done! see, tonight's Main event will feature the North American championship being on the line, but the International title also resides on Paramount and seeing as the brand that held it before us did not exactly line up contenders, that leaves the task to me. Lucky for me, Ibuki beat El Pablo last Paramount, so ALSO happening at Paramount 46, regardless of the outcome of tonight's main event, will be El Pablo putting the EWC International title on the line against Ibuki Ito! This match WILL be title for title if Ibuki is North American champion!
The crowd is salivating now, they cannot believe these matches!
Brock: Also, We have all grown tired of the continued delay of a match that was set at WrestleFest, so I am announcing tonight that we are booking ONE LAST TIME The EWC world Tag Team title match between the current champions The Heat Packers and the number one contenders Eleos Affect at Brawl 613. If for whatever reason that match does not take place, then the match will not be booked again and 3pAC will immediately be given their earned shot at the tag team championships. They earned them and quite frankly, I am sick and tired of the tag division being held captive by this match. The champions will defend them or they will not be champions much longer.
So there you go, folks. We heard you all and we are taking action. Champions are not just going to keep padding their stats for days as champion. They will defend them and they will have to show every why being a champion in EWC is the greatest honor that can be bestowed on someone in this sport. So Jacksonville, Thank you for listening to the mad ramblings of an old man. We have an amazing show for you tonight because tongiht... there will be an UPRISING!!!!!

Brock: But back to listening... See, while people think that the "Powers that be" don't pay attention to what is going on around here, I am going to show you all that this is the furthest thing from the truth. SO... I am here to announce a few things to kick us off.
First, I want to address the elephant in the room.. The EWC Undisputed championship resides on Paramount and it was my intention to see it defended here tonight... but apparently trying to get people to wrestle when they are owed a rematch is near impossible as Sally Talfourd told me in no uncertain terms that she wanted nothing to do with appearing on Paramount ever again.
The crowd boo's at the mention of the FORMER Paramount member.
Brock: No now, that is her choice to make, but it's also her choice to then forgo her rematch for the Undisputed championship. SO.. Xavier will defend for the first time in the Insanity cage at Night of Champions, that you already know. What you do not know, however, is that the first Paramount AFTER Night of champions, I am going to right a wrong. The Paramount crowd deserves an Undisputed championship match, and so they will have it. July 10th, first Paramount show post Night of Champions will see whomever is Undisputed champion take on the man who absolutely has proven that he deserves the next shot... and that is Cosmo Goldworthy! That is, if he is not already Undisputed champion. If he is, then he will be defending the title at Paramount 46!
The crowd roars at this news!
Brock: I'm not done! see, tonight's Main event will feature the North American championship being on the line, but the International title also resides on Paramount and seeing as the brand that held it before us did not exactly line up contenders, that leaves the task to me. Lucky for me, Ibuki beat El Pablo last Paramount, so ALSO happening at Paramount 46, regardless of the outcome of tonight's main event, will be El Pablo putting the EWC International title on the line against Ibuki Ito! This match WILL be title for title if Ibuki is North American champion!
The crowd is salivating now, they cannot believe these matches!
Brock: Also, We have all grown tired of the continued delay of a match that was set at WrestleFest, so I am announcing tonight that we are booking ONE LAST TIME The EWC world Tag Team title match between the current champions The Heat Packers and the number one contenders Eleos Affect at Brawl 613. If for whatever reason that match does not take place, then the match will not be booked again and 3pAC will immediately be given their earned shot at the tag team championships. They earned them and quite frankly, I am sick and tired of the tag division being held captive by this match. The champions will defend them or they will not be champions much longer.
So there you go, folks. We heard you all and we are taking action. Champions are not just going to keep padding their stats for days as champion. They will defend them and they will have to show every why being a champion in EWC is the greatest honor that can be bestowed on someone in this sport. Watson: WOW! What an announcement from our General Manager! We have so much to look forward to and we have just barely begun! Let's kick this off with some Prime on Paramount action, shall we?!
Starr: The following match is set for one fall! Joining us first, from Sacramento, California and weighing in at 195 pounds... NOMAD RYDER!
Ryder comes out immediately as music hits in his ring attire plus his jacket (but no shirt under to show off his abs of steel) and glasses. he does his cool guy walk all the way down the ring whilst talking to the audience members. He does not move fast or too slow he takes just the right amount of time. When he gets in the ring he gets to the top rope and throws off his glasses. Then he gets down goes to the other side and throws his jacket. He is now ready to fight.
Starr: And the opponent, from Auckland, New Zealand and weighing in at 260 pounds... APOLLO POLAMALU!
As “I Serve The Base” by Future blares throughout the building, the fans wait in anticipation as Apollo Polamalu slowly emerges from the back, walking through a trail of smoke. As the beat drops, the lights strobe black and red on key around the building. A white spotlight shines on Apollo as he extends his arms out, allowing the fans to indulge in embracing his presence. Apollo makes his way down to the ring, locked in on what goes on in the ring and not quite the crowd reaction.. He walks up the steps and places his hand on the top rope, entering the ring and throwing his arms up with a cocky grin on his face. He backs up, leaning in the turnbuckles as his theme slowly fades away.

Ryder charges at Apollo and chops him hard across the chest. Twice. A third is blocked by Apollo who knocks Ryder down with a right hand. Apollo grabs at Ryder who chops at his chest. Ryder whips Apollo off the ropes but he reverses sending Ryder off the ropes. Ryder rebounds back and jumps into a sling blade that takes Apollo to the mat. He crawls over and makes a cover.

Ryder wriggles and writhes trying to free himself before Apollo turns the hold into a snapmare. Apollo runs off the ropes and dropkicks a seated Ryder in the chest. Apollo lifts Ryder up and drives him down with a powerbomb. Apollo makes a cover.

Ryder gets to his feet and drags himself to the corner. He climbs to the top and leaps crashing down on Apollo with a frog splash. Both stagger to their feet where Ryder takes Apollo down with a cutter. He hooks the leg.

Sydney: He had the presence of mind to use his feet how he did in the absence of a rope break or the strength for a proper kick out! His opponent may not like it but that’s the fact!
Ryder pulls Apollo to his feet but Apollo punches him in the gut and grabs Ryder hitting a Damnatio Memoriae. Apollo makes a cover.

Watson: What a match! What a match! Just when you think it’s an Apollo Polamalu win, Nomad Ryder comes along. Just when Nomad Ryder thought he had the win, Apollo Polamalu comes along. Apollo Polamalu picks up the win here!
Sydney: Nomad Ryder gave this one everything. On any other night that Stargazer is a match winner. This night wasn’t Nomad Ryder’s night but he will be back and picking up victories soon as!

The camera cuts backstage inside Everbank Stadium where we see the EWC Undisputed Champion Xavier Reid walking hand in hand with his girlfriend/manager Bunny Love…they are followed by the newly named ‘tag team contenders’ 3pAC members Deimos and ‘Little Danny. The members of The Love Club come to a stop as they see Paramount’s Lisa Goldrush standing in front of them.
Goldrush: Welcome to Uprising and it’s nice to see you here Xavier. It is unfortunate we are not seeing you in action tonight and defending that…
Lisa points to the EWC Undisputed Championship over his shoulder. Xavier nods his head and pats the face of the championship.
Reid: I was told offers were made and they couldn’t find any takers so…the next time we will see this on the line will be inside the Insanity Cage at Night of Champions but…
Xavier turns and looks at Deimos and ‘Little’ Danny…
Reid: Tonight I’m here in Jacksonville to root these two on as they face off against Cassi Wolfe and Harper Mason of Young Justice in what I’m sure will be a classic Tag Team Showcase…
Xavier steps to the side allowing Deimos and ‘Little’ Danny to step up into the foreground in front of Lisa who looks at Xavier…

Danny: The truth is Lisa we are the only tag team in the EWC with a ppv win and we are looking to add another one here tonight at Uprising…
Deimos: We are once again carrying the division on our backs because let's be honest here…if it wasn’t for the 3pAC the tag team division would be an afterthought…
Danny: It would just be a division of singles wrestlers trying to act like they are a tag team…
Deimos: We are the ones keeping the division rolling while our champions are God knows where doing God knows what…

Reid: Tonight for all practical purposes the champions here in the EWC lock in their place for that Insanity Cage match so I’m here to watch two title matches, the Dynasty Championship match between Tanja Deveraux and Rick Rampage and the US Championship match between Cosmo Goldworthy and The Lad…though….
Love: Given Cosmo is also the Fighting Spirits Champion and The Lad is our TV Champion both men seem to have locked up a spot at Night of Champions…
Xavier nods as Bunny hears something behind her and turns…
Reid: These championship belts our like our Golden Tickets, are an invitation to step into that Insanity Cage to fight for this…
Xavier holds up the EWC Undisputed Championship as Bunny starts to tap him on his shoulder…Xavier looks at her as she points off camera…the camera pans out and there is a loud cheer as we see the International Champion El Pablo standing by…Xavier smiles at his brother and walks over in that direction. He points to the International Championship…
Reid: That’s a nice looking belt you have there…
El Pablo: Why thank you...figured it was pretty much a family heirloom at this point so, nice to keep it around, y'know? Plus...
He glances with a wry smirk towards the Undisputed Championship in Xavier's hands.
El Pablo:...I figured you weren't gonna be using it for a while.
Xavier smiles as he looks at the Undisputed Championship that he’s placed over his shoulder…
Reid: Well I’m glad to see that it’s back in our family…ours family…
Xavier points between himself and El Pablo…
Reid: And our family…
Xavier extends his arms out referring to Paramount…
Reid: That championship has meant the world to me over the course of my EWC career…I remember when I signed here, sure I wanted to one day be walking around with the Undisputed Championship over my shoulder but it was that International Championship that I craved right out of the gate…I knew, even back then what the International Championship meant to the EWC, it was a proving ground for people to see if they were worthy to challenge for EWC’s biggest prize…and sure it fell on hard times over the years, passed around like a hot potato and VACATED more times than it should…
El Pablo snickers…
El Pablo: You could say it was treated like some kind of ‘bastard’ child…
Xavier nods…
Reid: That it was…until I won it for the first time…I’d like to think that I played a role in bringing back the prestige of that championship here in the EWC and I’m thrilled that it’s now over your shoulder…and I realize that it…
Xavier points at the International Championship…
Reid: Is your ticket to challenge for this…
Xavier again pats the face of the Undisputed Championship…
Reid: At Night of Champions…and I also realize that TWICE its been the International Champion walking out of Night of Champions with both the International and Undisputed Championships…
EP nods - although, behind the mask, his expression appears a little vacant.
El Pablo: I'll take your word for it...I mean, your memory's obviously a lot better than mine!
He smirks, pulling a packet of Skittles from his pocket and offering a handful to Xavier before taking one for himself.
El Pablo: It'd be quite a moment though, huh? After all this time, Xavier Reid and El Pablo standing atop the Insanity Cage, preparing to battle mano-y-mano for the most prestigious prize in professional wrestling!
Xavier raises his eyebrows at the thought of it…
El Pablo: You should know, though - when it comes to the trend of International Champions unseating Undisputed ones inside that structure, there's only one historical statistic that I'm interested in setting right when that opening bell rings...
He pauses, taking another hit of Skittles as his gaze grows a little more steely.
El Pablo: See, in 2022, I shocked the world by winning the Insanity Cage...an accomplishment that, in any other season before that, would've seen me leave Night of Champions as the EWC Undisputed Champion. HOWEVER...thanks to the movers and shakers electing to give the Rumble a little more gravitas that season for reasons that I can't quite recall right now, I was instead forced to settle for a shot at that championship at WrestleFest...forced to watch and wait as Lavender jumped the line and Ibuki cashed in his own shot and then - thanks to a little bit of attempted murder at the magnificent, malevolent and somewhat mutilated hand of our former Queen - that opportunity was taken away from me...and, now, I’m forced to stalk the halls of arenas and amphitheatres around the world as the only Insanity Cage winner in living memory not to become Undisputed Champion - and, look, I understand that that's just the way it goes sometimes…and I know that, if anybody in this company can sit and spin a yarn about 'conspiracies' it's you...but it still sours my Skittles just a little bit, every time I think about it - so I just want you to know...brother to brother...I'm gonna be coming into Night of Champions fully focused on trying to right that Rainbowlutionary wrong.

Reid: But see, the first time I won this it was at Night of Champions but it wasn’t inside the Insanity Cage…it was the power struggle match and while I outsmarted a certain someone in that match I had to listen to people discredit that win…telling me I would have never won this had it been inside the Insanity Cage…it’s the one win missing from my resume…the one big match moment I don’t have…so I just want you to know…brother to brother…I’m gonna be coming into Night of Champions fully focused on doing everything humanly possible to fight my way up to the top of that cage, fully prepared to toss anyone...and I mean ANYONE that also finds their way up to the top off the cage and through those flaming tables…

Watson: We just heard from the Love Club and Shinijoshi member El Pablo in regards to the Insanity cage as we know those two, Cosmo Goldworthy, regardless of tonight's match result, Morgan Darkwater, Jack Severn and The Lad will be in that match. But who will be Dynasty Champion? We are going to find out right now!
Starr: The following match is a PURE RULES MATCH set for one fall, is for the EWC Dynasty Championship
The crowd erupts with boos as the music and video hit the screen. Rampage makes his way out from behind the curtain and immediately begins to taunt and diss the crowd. He slowly begins to head down the ramp, smiling and mocking the fans the whole way down the ramp.
Starr: Making his way to the ring, hailing from New York, New York; weighing in at TWO HUNDRED and SEVENTY-FIVE POUNDS....He Is THE GOLDEN BOY….. RICK....RAMPAGE!
Rick makes his way over to the steps, slowly walking up them, his feet thudding against the metal with each step. As he reaches the top of the steps, he walks along the ring apron for a few steps before stepping over the top rope and into the ring. He walks towards the center of the ring, fans booing him even louder now as he just raises him arm up into the air.
Starr: And the opponent…
Pyros hit as Videos of bustling crowds of New Orleans appear on the Extreme-Tron as the dark and melodic tones of "Voodoo" by Godsmack blasts. Tanja comes out onto the top of the ramp in a style compared to Gail Kim during her early time in TNA before heading down the ramp with Celeste St. Laurent coming behind her to the ring as Tanja's black leather coat flows at her feet while the boos from the crowd fills the arena. She hisses at those at ringside while coming down to the ring.
Starr: Coming to the ring hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana and being accompanied to the ring by Celeste St. Laurent; she is the EWC Dynasty Champion, she is the Bayou Witch... TANJA DEVEREAUX!
Tanja walks up towards the ring and enters via under the bottom rope and jumps onto the middle turnbuckle. She poses as she does her usual taunt with a hand and arm in the air as "Voodoo" continues to play. Tanja steps off the turnbuckle as she removes the leather coat as "Voodoo" fades.

Tanja fires at Rick with a roundhouse kick. Rick blocks and lifts Tanja dropping her to the mat with a spinebuster. Rick then blasts her with a clothesline as Tanja gets to her feet. He makes a cover.

Tanja pushes her way free to break the count. Rick positions Tanja for a DDT but Tanja pulls Rick’s knees from under him toppling him to the mat. As he gets to his feet, Tanja runs spinning him into a tornado DDT. She makes a cover.

Watson: That was never going to beat him this early.
Sydney: No but for Tanja it is a sign of intent. She’s saying ‘I am not going to let a bigger man take my championship. That and it takes a lot of energy to kick out.
Both get to their feet where Rick smacks Tanja in the temple with a forearm smash knocking her to the mat. Rick pulls her to her feet and he whips Tanja off the ropes. Rick scoops a rebounding Tanja up for a military press. He holds her high above his head as he walks around the ring before bringing Tanja crashing to the match. Tanja staggers to her feet where she walks into an Alabama slam. Rick makes a cover.

Tanja gets to her feet and stomps on the arm that holds the rope. Rick clutches at his arm. Tanja grabs the arm and tries to apply an armbar but Rick fights her off with a right hand. Tanja staggers as Rick gets to his feet. Tanja manages to grab Rick and lift him onto her shoulders driving him to the mat with a City Of The Dead. She hooks the leg.

Tanja lays on the mat clutching her championship. She rolls from the ring crawling up the ramp while dragging her championship.
Watson: Tanja Devereaux can not even stand up but she leaves AND STILL the champion! Incredible result from an incredible match!
Sydney: Rick Rampage did not put a single foot wrong! He didn’t! Tanja Devereaux picked up that result from hard work not from a Rick Rampage mistake! He’ll come back from this and I expect a championship to be around his waist sooner than later!
Watson: I concur Cid, it's a matter of WHEN not IF for Rick Rampage. Speaking of titles though, we're being told that we are going to cut back to the North American Championship Crazy Train match that is still in progress!

M$J is finally free of the wrench around his ear, but his hands are soaked with blood just by touching his ear. M$J is a bloody mess, his ear leaking and parts of the back of his head red. Ito places a hand across M$J’s ear and spreads the blood to his face. Ito starts dishing repeated punches to the head of M$J, trying his hardest to bust him open. M$J is struggling to get up but Ito elbows him across the jaw! He takes M$J by the hair and drags him, looking around. DDT ON THE FLOOR! It’s an uncomfortable splat noise as M$J crashes to the floor, not moving. Ito breathes heavily, rubbing his back. He needs support to get up, and looks down at M$J who isn’t moving.
In any other situation, that would be enough to pin him off of. But in this match, pins don’t matter. Ito groans, looking out the window. The only way this one ends is when he throws M$J off. Ito rises and drags M$J along, throwing him into the next car. M$J breathes heavily, shaking his head. He spits blood on the floor, coughing out. He tries his hardest to get up, and Ito demands he get up! KONBAN— M$J MOVES AT THE LAST SECOND! ITO TURNS AND M$J LEAPS UP THE DESK, THEN FLIES INTO A METEORA! He keeps his knees on Ito’s shoulder, taking his hair and headbutting him repeatedly! He shakes off the pain, transitioning to ground and pound elbows!
M$J pulls Ito up and slams his head onto the desk! M$J digs for a weapon, and finds a baseball bat! He slams it into Ito’s ribs! Ito groans, and M$J swings for the fences… HE GETS ITO WITH A HOME RUN! Ito is hit so hard he falls on the desk, his eyes fluttering. M$J slams the bat over his back! He does it again! And again! And again! M$J repeatedly goes for the back of Ito, finally throwing it aside. Ito falls backwards, rubbing his back. M$J throws a roundhouse kick to the chest as he sits against the pole! He throws another one! And then he roundhouse kicks Ito’s head into the pole! Ito rolls over, clutching the back of his head. Every chance he tries to lower the pain, but it’s not working.
Ito is struggling up, meanwhile M$J is still searching and finds a stop sign! Ito rises and M$J swings for his head! Ito catches it at the last second! He kicks M$J in the gut, shoving him back. Ito takes the stop sign and approaches M$J, BUT M$J SUPERKICKS THE STOP SIGN INTO HIS FACE! ITO GOES DOWN! M$J stumbles forwards, then pulls him up. He tries to lift him for a suplex, but Ito punches the ribs. He scoops M$J up! But M$J slips onto the bench, slamming Ito’s head into it! M$J reaches up to the lights in the ceiling, pulling the panel off and grabbing one of them off with authority.
As expected, it’s hot, forcing M$J to shake his hand out. But what M$J is holding is a LIGHT TUBE! Ito tries to get up…. BUT M$J SMASHES THE LIGHT TUBE ACROSS THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD! It explodes upon impact and smoke surrounds the two, whilst Ito screams out, falling to his knees. His entire face on the side is cut up, and M$J starts driving knees to the side of the head. All M$J has left is a broken shard of the light tube, then drags Ito up by the hair. He holds him by the throat and shoves him down, stabbing the light tube shard into his forehead! He digs it deep, trying to open a cut in his head! Ito gasps out, yelling from the pain he’s in!
He tries to put his hands on the shard, holding it back, but M$J is intent on digging it into his head! M$J is going deep and he might cut an arterie! But at the last second, Ito takes the shard and finally yanks it from his head! Ito is a bloody mess as M$J reaches up for him, but Ito leans his head up into his eyes and blood gashes out of his forehead, flying into his eyes like mist! M$J holds his eyes in pain, blinded! Ito takes the shard and stabs M$J where his torn pec was! M$J falls over, crying out! Ito pulls up M$J and turns him around, lifting him up for a back suplex on the desk! M$J hits the desk hard and rolls over. Ito falls back into the seat, trying to stop the bleeding.
He removes his elbow pad and applies it to his forehead, meanwhile M$J is on his side, gasping for air. M$J tries to rise and Ito slowly pulls him up. He leans the head down, but M$J slips free, shoving Ito face first into the pole! Blood splatters all over the pole, and Ito slowly turns around… He takes the head and throws his legs on the desk, his body hanging off of it! M$J NODS AS HE DROPS INTO THE REGICIDE ON THE BROKEN GLASS! M$J YELLS OUT, GRITTING HIS TEETH AS HE TRIES TO ENDURE THE ANGUISH HE’S IN! Meanwhile, Ito has gone head first into the broken glass and he’s rolling around in agony! Ito tries to get up and use adrenaline to ignore the pain, but he topples to his side as he tries to get to a knee, and he lays there, grabbing his head.
M$J scoots back, looking at Ito in horror. The lengths these two men are going to in order to be North American Champion. He rises up and takes the steel chair, calling Ito up. Ito digs his fingers into the seats, using them to rise.. AND THEN M$J LAUNCHES THE STEEL CHAIR AT ITO’S HEAD! IT CRACKS HIM OVER THE HEAD! Ito stumbles, not able to stand straight. M$J LIFTS HIM INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY, MARCHING OVER.. DEATH VALLEY DRIVER THROUGH THE DOOR!
BOTH MEN COMPLETELY BREAK IT DOWN! ITO IS OUT OF IT, AND MARCU$ MAY HAVE KNOCKED HIMSELF OUT AS WELL!
Watson: THE DOOR GOES DOWN! MARCU$ IS BUSTING OUT HIS BEST HITS AGAINST ITO!
Sydney: I’m in awe at what I’m witnessing right now! This train is going to need reinforcements for EVERYTHING! GOD I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!
We return to ringside where the crowd is buzzing ahead of the next match as they have just finished witnessing the carnage on the train!
Watson: What a show we have had so far, and there is still more yet to come!
Sydney: That’s right, up next we have tag team action and it’s sure to be a hell of a match.

They march down the steps and make it to the guardrail. Deimos jumps over as 'Little' Danny runs and jumps over, doing that famous somersault entrance…once on his feet the pair walk over and lift Bunny Love up and over the rail with a hand under each of her arms. The trio storm up the steps and enter the ring…
The intro to Jonathon Young's cover of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes theme hits the speakers and Cassie and Harper emerge from the back ready for action! The two Hero Academy Graduates pose back to back with their arms crossed at the top of the ramp before pointing to the ring with a gun like motion as they wait for their introduction.
Starr: Introducing, at a combined weight of 243ibs, Cassie Wolfe and Harper Mason, YOUNG JUSTICE!
Once they are announced the two metalheads throw up the devil horns and share a fist bump before they run down to the ring, Cassie leaps into the ring between the middle and bottom rope before rolling to her knees whilst Harper slides into the ring! They two youngsters share another fist bump before posing for the fans.
Watson: Quite the size disadvantage that Young Justice has to overcome here tonight.
Sydney: You are right about that, 3pAC is almost twice their size, but Young Justice is looking to get back on track after a loss in Seoul, South Korea.

The match starts out with Cassie Wolf and Deimos in the ring. The Rebel Princess begins to circle, attempting to keep distance from the much larger Deimos. The big man lunges forward, but Cassie ducks under him and rushes towards the ropes. She bounces off and comes back as Deimos is turning around. As he does, Cassie connects with a dropkick to the chest, causing him to stumble backwards into the ropes. As he comes bouncing back, Cassie gets back to her feet and walks straight into a big boot.Watson: Massive big boot from Deimos there.
Sydney: Cassie is going to have to be faster than that.
The Rebel Princess quickly rolls out of the ring to avoid any further attacks. She lands on her feet and begins to walk around, shaking off the attack. The referee moves over and begins to warn her to get back in the ring before eventually starting the count.

Deimos rushes towards the side of the ring near Cassie and launches himself over the top rope, but as he does, Cassie performs a bicycle kick that lands directly to the head of the massive man. Deimos crashes to the floor, not moving.
Watson: HOLY SHIT….
Sydney: Watson….Normally I would say this is a family show, but this is pay-per-view! Go for it!
Watson: What a move by Cassie there.
Sydney: Deimos left his element and paid the price.

Cassie quickly slides into the ring as Deimos begins to stir and get to his feet.

Deimos gets to his feet and slowly stumbles over to the ring apron and rolls into the ring, but is quickly met with a baseball slide. The massive man falls back out of the ring and to the floor, landing on his feet as he shakes off the attack. Before the referee can begin the count, Deimos begins to climb onto the apron. Cassie loads up, waiting for her chance to pounce to knock him back out of the ring, but before she can, ‘Little’ Danny comes flying from the top turnbuckle with a flying dropkick that sends her crashing to the mat. The referee begins to lecture Danny and tells him to return to his corner.
Watson: What a dropkick from Danny.
Sydney: That move saves his teammate from another big attack from Cassie.
Deimos pulls himself up onto the apron and then climbs over the top rope as he makes his way into the ring and over to the downed Cassie. He grabs a hold of her and lifts her up, but as he does she begins to fire off shots into his face. Deimos lets go and Cassie takes off into the ropes, slinging herself off them and towards a dazed Deimos. As she gets there, Deimos grabs her by the throat with both hands and lifts her up and hits a Two-Handed Sit-Out Chokeslam and then immediately goes into a pin.

Watson: What a kickout by Cassie.
Sydney: I thought it was going to be over.
Cassie quickly scrambles and lunges towards her corner, tagging in Harper who immediately leaps onto the top rope and performs a springboard Tornado DDT to Deimos, slamming his head into the mat. Harper quickly hops to her feet and rushes to the ropes and jumps onto the top rope and springboards herself into a 450 Splash, going for the pin.

Danny springboards himself off the ropes and breaks up the pinfall with a Phenomenal Forearm.
Watson: OOOH MY GOD!
Sydney: I can’t believe what I just saw.
Danny rolls Deimos onto Harper and referee begins to count.

Harper crawls out from under Deimos and slowly begins to crawl towards her corner and Deimos slowly begins to do the same. Both of them leap forward, making tags with their partners as Danny and Cassie leap into the ring and immediately charge one another. The Rebel Princess goes for The Greenest Wizard, but misses as Danny ducks under it. Both quickly turn around and Danny locks in double underhooks and goes for a Dirty Deeds DDT, but Cassie blocks it and then lifts Danny up, hitting him with the Down Under Driver and quickly goes for the pin.

Watson: So close.
Sydney: I honestly thought it was over right there.
Cassie quickly gets to her feet and begins to size up Danny. He gets to his feet and Cassie moves towards him, but Danny quickly escapes and rebounds off the ropes and hits her with a Lariat Clothesline as she whips around. Danny quickly leaps over to Deimos and tags him in. The massive man gets into the ring as Cassie stumbles onto her feet and right into Deimos, who lifts her up and falls back as Danny leaps in the air as they connect with The pAC Drop. As Deimos goes for the pin, Harper enters the ring, only to be met with a Pele Kick from Danny.

Watson: Danny was all but out and he finds a way to escape and turn this match into a win.

Watson: And now We're going to get sued again Cid, Thanks for that! But... Danny also made the clutch block on Harper to help secure the win.

Goldrush: As we’ve seen tonight, the North American Championship is being decided as Ibuki Ito is cashing in his rematch clause against the man that beat him at StrangleMania Marcu$ $t. John as we speak on top of a Brightline train, speeding towards us from Miami…standing by at the Brightline hub here in Jacksonville is Ibuki Ito’s manager Buddy Love…
The TV screen goes split screen with Lisa on the left and Buddy Love, who is on the Brightline arrival platform in downtown Jacksonville. He looks nervous as he looks away from a monitor that Paramount has set up for him and looks at the camera…
Goldrush: Buddy, this has to be an odd situation for you, as you are normally standing ringside but tonight you are a spectator like the rest of us…
Love: Yeah…it’s bull pucky as they say here in the South…I am a professional wrestling manager and I shouldn’t be standing on a platform hoping and praying that my client makes it back in one piece…
Buddy looks back at the monitor hoping they have cut back to a live feed…
Goldrush: This is the second time a major EWC Championship has been decided on top of a train, the first coming at World Wide II when Jordan Sharpe challenged Dominic Sanders for the Indy Championship…
Buddy turns his head back to the camera and Lisa Goldrush…
Love: And look how that went for the EWC…Jordan tossed Dominic from the train and Dominic Sanders was never the same again…remember, he was one half of the tag team champions at the time with Ace King…
Goldrush: The Diamond Dogs…
Love: And due to those injuries Dominic was forced onto the shelf for about a month…the EWC had to cancel tag team matches because of it and it probably shortened The Diamond Dogs run as Tag Team Champions…and I ask you and the EWC…was it worth it then and is it worth it now…
Buddy once again looks back at the monitor hoping for an update…when there isn’t one he turns his attention back to Lisa…
Love: For everything Ibuki and Marcu$ has done for the EWC and Paramount it’s a real ‘How You Do’ for them to risk the health and maybe career of these two men for what…entertainment purposes…this match could have easily been contested in that ring, maybe a cage or something but NO…they want one of these men tossed from a speeding train…it’s sick if you ask me…
Goldrush: I can tell you are concerned about Ibuki…
Love: Yeah I am Lisa…EMS has promised to get to the ‘victim’ as soon as they can but it could take time depending on where they are tossed off…it’s 346 miles between Miami to Jacksonville…that countless counties they are passing through and having to be handed off to medical personnel…what if they get tossed off in a poor county…it could be hours before they get to a injured man…not to mention the impact that hitting the ground at that speed could have on one’s body…we saw Dominic break several ribs and mess up his shoulder and wrist…I just don’t know what they were thinking…
Buddy looks again at the monitor.
Goldrush: Well Ibuki said it himself, this match tonight should cap off these two men’s rivalry…allowing both me to move on…it’s why Ibuki said if he loses tonight he will never again challenge for the North American Championship…
Buddy waves Lisa off…
Love: He made that claim in the heat of the moment…do you know how many things my father said that were crazy in the heat of the moment and yet…if Ibuki wins we will be seeing these two in the ring again for that championship because Marcu$ will go for reign number 4, 5 and 45…that’s if the fall off the train doesn’t end his career…oh here we go…

Watson: Here we go! The United States Championship is up for grabs as two of the EWC’s hottest prospects right now, The Lad and Cosmo Goldworthy battle for Cosmo’s championship! Dating all the way back to a couple of months ago, these two have gone on an inevitable collision course to face one another and it ends here tonight!
Sydney: The Lad worked his ass off, winning many defenses, obtaining as many points as possible to put himself in a position to challenge Cosmo for his championship! And here we are! A victory for Cosmo would put him in great company, becoming the only other United States Champion to hit two or more defenses since 2020, along with Melody Malone and Lavender!
Watson: But Lad wants to make history of his own, becoming the quickest to win the United States Championship since debuting – doing it even quicker than Cosmo! We have waited two weeks to see this matchup, and finally, HERE WE GO!
Starr: The following match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the EWC United States Championship! Joining us first, from Hell's Kitchen, New York, weighing in at 223 pounds, HE IS THE EWC TELEVISION CHAMPION ... THE LAD!

“Exhibit C” by Jay Electronica starts up, leading to the arrival of The Lad. Standing on the stage, he looks out to the world before him. Carrying his EWC Television Championship in his hand, he performs the Sign of the Cross, blows a kiss to the ceiling, and then pats his chest. He lines the championship into both of his hands and raises it high.
With his championship high above his head, a proud champion, Lad starts his trek down to the ring. He keeps his head lowered, the black towel resting around his neck swaying. Once he approaches the end of the ring, he goes to both sides of the crowd to give love. Once done, he eyes the ring and takes off for the stairs.
Once he’s there, The Lad wipes his boots on the ring apron. He heads for the turnbuckle, scaling from where he stood. There, he raises his championship high before leaping into the ring. Once again, he lifts his gold high to the adoration of the audience. He lowers it back, then rests it against the nearest turnbuckle. He starts to stretch, getting his body loose and battle ready.
Starr: And his opponent, from The Golden State, weighing in at 201 pounds, HE IS THE EWC FIGHTING SPIRIT AND UNITED STATES CHAMPION ... COSMO GOLDWORTHY!
The arena plunges into darkness as the electric beat of "Money On My Mind" reverberates throughout the building. Gold and white lines then strobe throughout the building as the EWC Fighting Spirit & United States Champion Cosmo Goldworthy swaggers out, all on his own. Cosmo’s eyes are focused on the ring entirely as he realizes the weight of this situation, ready to shoulder this pressure with no one in his ear.
Cosmo opens up his Louis Vuitton jacket to show off the United States Championship around his waist, the gold glistening under the arena lights as he struts down the ramp. He adjusts the Fighting Spirit Championship onto his shoulder, slapping the center plate. “THESE TWO BELTS AIN’T GOING NOWHERE ANYTIME SOON!” Cosmo confidently yells, as he marches down to the ring.
Cosmo slides in, climbing the top rope and raising the Too Sweets up high for everyone - as regardless of if you're with The House or against them, noise is being made from every corner of the building. Cosmo drops off the top rope, removing his jacket and championships; handing the United States Championship to the referee and leaving his Fighting Spirit Championship and jacket to a ringside staff member..
Watson: You can see the fury in the eyes of these two men and the bell hasn’t even rung yet! Both The Lad’s undefeated streak and the EWC United States Championship hangs in the balance! Who will prevail?!?

Cosmo and Lad step to the center of the ring, mouthing off to one another. The camera can’t pick up what they’re saying, but it’s an extremely heated back and forth and the match hasn’t even begun yet. The two engage in a powerful collar and elbow tie-up, and Cosmo forces Lad to the ropes. The referee calls for a clean break and Cosmo slowly moves away from Lad. It looks like he’s about to step away, until he swings back for a punch! Lad flinches– only to realize that Cosmo wasn’t going for a punch at all. Cosmo smirks at Lad’s reaction, only to be stumbled with a nasty forearm smash! Cosmo staggers, and Lad throws another! He drills him with another! Lad grabs Cosmo into a clinch, but Cosmo breaks it off and cracks Lad with a right hook that drops him to his ass! Lad shakes his head, caught off guard as Cosmo immediately charges in for a knee, but Lad sidesteps it and takes the waist. He tries to bring Cosmo to the ropes for an O’Connor Roll, but Cosmo holds onto the ropes. Lad backrolls, shaking his head. Cosmo grins, turning back to Lad – only to be knocked on his ass with a right hook from Lad! Cosmo looks up to Lad in shock at what he just got hit with. “What now?!” Lad barks. Cosmo quickly rises to his feet and rams Lad into the turnbuckles! He leans his head down for corner shoulder thrusts, but Lad shoots his leg upwards for a knee to the jaw that rocks the champion! Cosmo puts his guard up as Lad starts peppering him with palm strikes to the side of the head! Lad sneaks in a punch through the guard, making Cosmo reel on the ropes. Lad starts beating on him with body punches, and Cosmo is trying his hardest to cover up but he can’t! The champion is on the ropes, and the referee comes in with his count of five! Lad stops at five, then pulls Cosmo out for a brutal european uppercut!
The champion staggers, falling to the middle rope as he stares in shock. Lad hits off the ropes, and Cosmo rises to his feet and catches him with a dropkick! Lad sits up, holding his jaw, as Cosmo hits the ropes and follows up with a soccer kick to the chest! He’s not done, as he follows up with a standing double foot stomp to the chest! Lad holds his chest, rolling over. He kicks his legs in pain, coughing out as he feels like his lungs just got punctured. Cosmo drags Lad up and meets him with a knee to the chest. He then slaps the hell out of him, forcing Lad to stagger. Cosmo elbows Lad, and then throws a beautifully executed roundhouse kick to the chest. Lad grits his teeth, as Cosmo leans the head down and starts throwing heavy Kawada Kicks to the forehead! Lad is getting beat down with those kicks, and Cosmo winds back for one more– but LAD CATCHES HIM AS HE’S WINDING HIS LEG UP WITH A NASTY LARIAT! Cosmo goes down, and he stares up at the ceiling in shock!
Lad refuses to go for an early pin, though! He pulls up Cosmo and slaps him! Then he chops him! Then he slaps him! And chops him! Cosmo stares in shock, as Lad ducks under and takes the waist. He tosses him overhead with a beautiful german suplex! Cosmo holds his chest, gasping for air. Cosmo plants his hands on the mat, trying to get up – but he stumbles backwards and falls into a seated position against the turnbuckles. Lad grins and hits off the buckles, but COSMO RISES TO HIS FEET AND LEAPS INTO A CORNER DOUBLE KNEES TO THE CHEST! Lad stumbles out of the corner, holding his chest in pain. Cosmo scoops Lad up in a fireman’s carry, but Lad throws an elbow to the side of his head! He throws another, throwing the champion off balance. Lad slips off of Cosmo’s shoulders and takes the arms. He underhooks them, lifting Cosmo up for a TIGER SUPLEX! Cosmo falls backwards, holding the back of his head in pain.
Cosmo kicks his legs on the mat, groaning. Lad has a grin on his face as he throws a boot to the side of Cosmo’s head. He drags Cosmo up and palm strikes him! Cosmo stumbles into the corner, and Lad meets him with a knife edge chop! He gets him with another one! Lad winds his arm back, thinking of going for machine gun chops, but Cosmo boots him in the side of the head! Lad holds his head, and Cosmo cracks him with a punch to the left eye! Lad falls to a knee, holding his eye in pain. He can hardly see out of the right, so going after the left is going to screw him up in the long run. Lad tries to rise, gritting his teeth; but Cosmo throws another knee to the left eye! He falls face first, wincing. Lad takes the bottom rope, then the middle rope. He kneels against the ropes, trying to rise... BUT COSMO HITS OFF THE ROPES AND LEAPS INTO A DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD!
The noise of that dropkick can be heard all around the building, as Lad falls flat onto his face and rolls under the bottom rope. Cosmo rolls out and clubs the back of Lad. He hangs his body over the apron, and starts throwing knees to the chest! Lad tries his hardest to cover up but it’s no use. Cosmo then follows up with a nasty elbow to the back of the head! He yanks Lad off of the apron and looks back to the floor, hoisting him up for an EXPLODER SUPLEX! Lad’s body goes splat on the floor, the padding giving no give on that. Lad cries out in pain, holding at his ribs and his side. Cosmo rubs his back, groaning. He took some damage off that as well, but not as bad as Lad. Cosmo uses the apron skirt to kneel, chuckling at Lad’s discomfort. He rises up to his feet and takes Lad up by the head, slowly rolling him into the ring.
As he stares out of the ring, Cosmo takes a second. The referee demands he gets in, but he rather relish in the pain he’s making Lad go through from the sidelines. Cosmo finally slides in and watches Lad try to get up. He raises his leg up to head level, dropping it right back down into a beautiful axe kick to the back of the head! Cosmo nearly does a split as Lad gets slammed into the canvas, the champion doing a free flex by showing off his flexibility. He rolls Lad over and contemplates a cover. But he remembers Lad’s behavior at the start of the match and opts not to go for one either. He instead mounts of Lad, and takes him by the back of the head. Cosmo rains down a nasty elbow, his hand being the only thing that saves Lad’s head from bouncing off the canvas. He holds Lad up, showing a bit of mercy by continuing to hold his head while he dishes out some nasty elbows! Lad finally comes to his senses, being woken up by the elbows and he tries to cover up, but the elbows are still slicing through like a knife.
Gasps leaves the breath of Lad as Cosmo lets go, dropping his head back to the mat. Cosmo backs up, adjusting his elbow pad as he waits for Lad to get up. Cosmo taps his foot, and Lad groggily rolls over. He crawls to the ropes, using them to slowly rise up to his feet. Cosmo grins, and Lad turns around AS COSMO SPINS INTO THE CASH ROLLS EVERYTHING ELBO–LAD CATCHES THE ARM AND LEAPS INTO AN ARMBREAKER! Cosmo pops back up to his feet, wheezing out in pain as he shakes out his arm! Lad is back up as well, and Cosmo turns back! POLISH HAMMER FROM LAD! Cosmo rises back up, and LAD DROPS HIM WITH ANOTHER POLISH HAMMER! Cosmo holds his jaw, stunned. He slowly rises up a third time, and Lad bounces off the ropes AS HE LEAPS INTO A CLOTHESLINE! The crowd is heavily soaring behind the challenger!
Watson: It looked dire for The Lad right there, but three consecutive strikes in a row puts the champion down! The challenger is looking good right now and if he can keep this momentum up, Cosmo Goldworthy may not like what awaits him!
Sydney: Honestly! I’m not over the fact that neither of these guys have gone for a pinfall yet! This IS about the United States Championship, but over this week, it’s clearly grown into more than just that!
Lad rises to his feet, nodding his head profusely. He rubs his head, wincing out in pain. Cosmo takes the ropes and leans back into the corner. He starts to step out, but LAD CHARGES IN AND SENDS HIM BARRELING INTO THE TURNBUCKLES WITH A SHOTGUN DROPKICK! Cosmo falls forward and rolls to his side, holding his back in pain! Lad steps out of the ring, climbing the top rope! Cosmo’s durability shows as he somehow finds a way to get back up... BUT IT SEEMS NOT DESTINED TO BE AS LAD FLIES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A HURRICANRANA! COSMO GETS SENT FLYING ALL THE WAY TO THE ROPES! Cosmo once again holds his back, crying out! He rubs it, trying his best to alleviate the pain but it’s no use! He uses the ropes to get back up.. And Lad is waiting for him as he clotheslines him over the top rope! Cosmo spills off the top, missing the apron and going straight down to the floor.
He reaches up to the ceiling, shaking his head. Lad claps his hands, and the Jacksonville crowd starts to wake up for him! He smirks, feeling the energy. Cosmo uses the announce table to rise up to his feet.. AND LAD BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES! HE FLIES INTO A SUI– COSMO CATCHES HIM COMING THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH A WELL TIMED SAVATE KICK! Lad’s body hangs through the middle rope, and Cosmo quickly leaps onto the apron! Lad’s head is out in the open and Cosmo grins, pointing a finger gun right at his head.
It seems that he’s trying to come back to his senses– BUT IT’S TOO LATE AS COSMO LEAPS INTO A LEGDROP TO SLAM HIS HEAD INTO THE APR– LAD SLIPS HIS HEAD OUT AT THE LAST SECOND! Cosmo yells out in pain as his spine goes straight into the edge of the apron, the hardest part of the ring! Cosmo is still hollering while Lad has fallen back to the center of the ring, doing his best to recover. The champion takes the ropes, trying his best to get back up. Cosmo is still clutching the spine though, while Lad is back up to his feet and meets him with a nasty open handed slap! Cosmo reaches for Lad, and Lad gets him with another open handed slap! Cosmo is stunned against the ropes, and Lad starts to climb up the middle rope. He takes Cosmo’s head, locking in a front facelock. He then takes the trunks, AND SLOWLY DEADLIFTS COSMO UP IN THE AIR...
OFF THE ROPES, HE DEADLIFTS HIM INTO THE RING WITH A BEAUTIFUL SUPERPLEX! THE ROPES SLIGHTLY SHAKE AT THE MIGHT OF BOTH MEN GETTING SLAMMED INTO THE CANVAS! Lad bounces backwards off the impact of his own move, while Cosmo is laid flat onto his back! Lad looks down at Cosmo, nodding! He crawls over to the turnbuckles, stepping out of the ring. Lad limps to the turnbuckle, holding the top of his head from earlier onslaught. Despite his discomfort, Lad gets up the middle rope, and then the top. He points to the skies and looks down at Cosmo... HE SOARS THROUGH THE SKIES WITH A DIVING ELBOW DROP TO THE CHEST!
Cosmo wheezes out in pain, all of the air knocked out of his lungs from that. Lad rolls over, breathing heavily. He drags Cosmo up, far from finished despite how hard that elbow landed! He ducks under and takes Cosmo’s waist! He hoists him up, SPINNING INTO THE OAK CITY SPECIAL I! BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED BLUE THUNDER BOMB! THE BACK OF COSMO’S HEAD BOUNCES OFF THE CANVAS! AND WITH HIS SHOULDERS DOWN AND HIS LEGS HOOKED, LAD MAKES THE FIRST COVER OF THIS MATCH UP!

Lad tries to flip him onto his stomach, but Cosmo resists it! He’s on his side, as Lad is trying his hardest to step over and apply the boston crab! But Cosmo takes the head, pulling him into an inside cradle! The legs are hooked around Lad’s waist, but not hooked around his legs!

Both men rise and meet each other with strikes! Lad forearms Cosmo! Cosmo forearms Lad! But Lad STUNS Cosmo with a nasty open handed slap! Cosmo wobbles, and Lad hits off the ropes! COSMO MEETS HIM WITH A SCORPION KICK! Lad leans his head down, stunned. Cosmo hits off the ropes himself... Lad looks UP AS COSMO LEAPS INTO THE CASH COW! HE DRIVES HIS FEET RIGHT INTO HIS CHEST, SLAMMING HIM STRAIGHT TO THE CANVAS! LAD NEARLY FOLDS ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD, AND COSMO RUSHES OVER TO HOOK HIS LEGS WHILE THEY’RE IN THE AIR FOR THE COVER!

ONCE AGAIN, LAD KICKS OUT!
Cosmo slaps the mat! He’s irate! He looks up at the referee, demanding a recount. The referee insists that it was two. Cosmo approaches Lad and takes him by the hair, throwing a nasty closed fist punch to the forehead! Lad falls back, his body sprawling against the middle rope. Cosmo holds onto his hair and meets him with another! Lad shakes his head, groaning. Cosmo winds back another, but Lad push kicks him back! Cosmo holds his ribs in pain, as Lad pops up to his feet and drops him with a clothesline! He slowly rises to his feet and Lad takes the arm, twirling under as he lifts him up for a hammerlock back suplex! Lad holds onto Cosmo’s wrist and frees the hammerlock, TRANSITIONING TO A FUJIWARA ARMBAR! The crowd pops big for that insane transition! The champion’s eyes bulge out of his head, as he now understands in full what he’s dealing with! Lad pulls back on that fujiwara armbar, and he begins to wrap the arm around his legs!
He reaches for Cosmo’s chin, trying to transition to a crossface– but Cosmo scoots his body and hugs the bottom rope with his free arm! The referee enforces a break, which Lad does. He wobbles up, and quickly hits the ropes! Cosmo is still resting against the ropes, BUT LAD BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICKS HIM OUT OF THE RING! COSMO GETS SENT CRASHING STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR! HE YELPS OUT, HOLDING HIS SHOULDER AND SIDE! Lad nods his head, looking around. He’s got Cosmo hurt and takes to the bottom rope, using it. He then climbs up the middle rope and goes to the top rope. Cosmo uses the barricade to get up, meanwhile Lad is trying to steady himself on the top rope...
But as he does that, Cosmo finds it in him to leap up the apron and shove Lad off the top rope! And as he does, Lad falls backwards, his body falling backward onto the set of ropes behind him! His body bounces off the top rope and his neck whiplashes off the ropes as he gets sent to the mat. Lad gasps out in pain, and Cosmo moves to the center of the apron, grinning. Lad is still holding his head in pain as Cosmo takes the ropes! HE FRONTFLIPS IN FOR THE GOLD R– LAD TAKES THE ARM AND DUCKS UNDER! HE TRAPS IT AND TAKES THE WAIST, LOOKING FOR A HAMMERLOCK GERMAN SUPLEX! But Cosmo slips free, tripping Lad onto his stomach! He rolls under Lad’s legs, trying to get in the House Special, but Lad kicks at his arm! He kicks at his arm again! Cosmo tries one last time, but Lad kicks the arm and sends him backwards into the turnbuckles!
Lad stumbles up, nursing the back of his head. Cosmo notices this and as Lad is gearing up to turn around, COSMO SPINS INTO THE READY TO DIE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! THE TORNADO KICK LANDS FLUSH, AND LAD FALLS FACE FIRST! HIS BODY GOES LIMP, AND COSMO NUDGES HIM OVER! HE CRAWLS OVER AND HOOKS THE LEGS, PRESSING THE SHOULDERS TO THE MAT!

Watson: LAD KICKS OUT OF THE READY TO DIE! COSMO CAN’T BELIEVE IT, AND THIS CROWD IS BACK ON THEIR FEET! THE RESILIENCE OF THE TELEVISION CHAMPION!
Sydney: HE’S UNDEFEATED FOR A REASON! BUT AT WHAT COST?!? THE BACK OF HIS HEAD IS KILLING HIM, AND YOU CAN TELL!
Cosmo runs his hands through his hair, extremely frustrated. Cosmo rises to his feet and grabs the referee by the shirt, yelling in his face! The referee slaps Cosmo’s hands away, reminding him that he is the referee and he has the authority to disqualify him! Cosmo shakes his head, knowing that a disqualification win isn’t what he wants. Champion’s advantage means that he retains, but he needs to defeat Lad here. Lad is still laid out and Cosmo approaches him. He takes him by the head and slowly turns him around. Cosmo hooks the waist of Lad to keep him at bay, then transitions to the double underhook. He slowly turns them both around, the Gold Mine in sight– but Lad wakes up at the last second!
HE SNAPS FREE, TAKING COSMO’S WAIST AND LEANING HIS HEAD DOWN! HE SPINS, LIFTING HIM UP FOR A DEADLY SAITO SUPLEX! COSMO’S BODY PRACTICALLY CARTWHEELS AS HE SITS UP OFF IMPACT, HOLDING THE TOP OF HIS HEAD AS HE FALLS ONTO HIS BACK! Lad is too hurt to capitalize though! He’s holding his head as well, wheezing! Cosmo hasn’t moved at all, and Lad is starting to work his way up! Lad rolls Cosmo over and drags him up by the waistband, his back facing him. Lad throws a NASTY lariat to the back of the head! But with his other hand, he still holds Cosmo up by the waistband. He throws ANOTHER lariat to the back of the head! Cosmo leans his head down, ready to fall– but Lad gets him with a THIRD one! Cosmo is stunned, AND LAD SWINGS HIS ARMS UNDER INTO A FULL NELSON! DRAGON SUPLEX! AND HE BRIDGES IT!

COSMO BARELY KICKS OUT! And Lad holds onto him, rolling him to his stomach! He steps over his shoulder and looks around! HAMMER AND ANVIL ELBOW STRIKES TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD! Cosmo is getting battered, and all he can do is shake his head no! Lad is continuing to battering him, regardless of his resistance! Lad then stops the elbow strikes, swinging his arm under Cosmo’s neck and applying a sleeper hold! Cosmo coughs out in pain, as he’s being choked! Cosmo desperately claws at Lad’s forearm, trying to get free. He tries to slip his fingers in there in an attempt to break the grip, but Lad has it in tight and he’s choking the life out of Cosmo! Cosmo’s eyes start to roll into the back of his head, but Lad releases and hits the ropes at the speed of lightning! And as Cosmo blinks– Lad is back in his face AS HE THROWS A THUNDEROUS PENALTY KICK! THE LONGEST YARD CONNECTS! LAD DROPS TO HIS KNEES, PINNING HIM!

NOOOOO! COSMO KICKS OUT AT THE LAST SECOND!
Lad falls back, breathing heavily! He had Cosmo struggling to breathe, and he got him right in the chest with that kick! He thought it was over right there! Cosmo stares at the ceiling, his vision flickering as he struggles to keep his eyes open. Lad pants, crawling to the ropes. Cosmo rolls to his side, sputtering saliva all over the mat. He rolls over in an attempt to get up, and flops back down to the mat. Lad runs a hand across his head, using the ropes to rise up. Lad reaches down to drag Cosmo up. Cosmo is deadweight though, and Lad is struggling to keep him up. Exhaustion and pain is playing a factor for both, as he tries to wrap this one up.
He scoops Cosmo up into a fireman’s carry, with Sweet Business in mind! But Cosmo is starting to weigh down on him! Lad struggles, unable to carry the weight on his neck and the back of his head. He falls to a knee, and Cosmo slips to his feet! He takes Lad’s waist and gives him a taste of his own medicine! Cosmo forces him up to his feet, AND TOSSES HIM WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX! BUT COSMO HOLDS ONTO THE WAIST, ROLLING OVER! HE LIFTS LAD UP, FOR ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX! COSMO HOLDS ON, ROLLING OVER AGAIN! A THIRD AND FINAL GERMAN SUPLEX! THAT’S SUPLEX CITY FOR YOU! TAKING FROM THE PLAYBOOK OF JOJO RUSH! Cosmo nods his head, running his hands through his hair. Lad is the one looking up at the lights now, as Cosmo crawls to the corner. He uses the ropes to rise, and headbutts the turnbuckle, feeling it now!
Lad slowly rises to his feet, and Cosmo nods his head, a ravenous look in his eyes. As Lad is rising up, COSMO SPINS INTO THE CASH ROLLS EVERY– LAD DUCKS! HEADBUTT! Both men fall over, the pain to their head getting to them! Lad curses himself for making that decision, but Cosmo is the one still hurt! Lad clutches the back of his head as he once again lifts Cosmo up! HE HOISTS HIM INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY! SWEET BUSINESS INCOMING– NO! LACK OF RING AWARENESS THIS TIME AS COSMO USES THE ROPES TO GET FREE AND SLIP TO THE APRON! LAD TURNS AND COSMO PULLS HIM ONTO THE TOP ROPE, THROAT FIRST WITH A HOT SHOT! He falls back, holding his throat! He coughs out, struggling to breathe. Cosmo realizes the position that Lad is in and he licks his hips, grinning.
Cosmo yells at Lad to get up, practically barking for him to rise to his feet. Lad pushes up to his feet, unaware of where Cosmo is at this point in time.. But it clicks into his head as COSMO LEAPS UP TO TRY AND GO FOR THE GOLD RUSH! BUT LAD RUSHES OVER AND SCOOPS COSMO UP IN MID AIR! HE LIFTS HIM INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY! BUT BEFORE HE CAN GO FOR IT, COSMO SLIPS INTO A SUNSET FLIP! THE REFEREE GOES TO SLIDE FOR A COVER, BUT COSMO CAN’T GET THE LEGS ON THE SHOULDERS SO LAD BACKROLLS TO HIS FEET! He takes the legs and tries to interlock them for a cloverleaf, but Cosmo kicks Lad back first into the turnbuckles! Lad goes flying, hitting the back of his head hard on the middle turnbuckle!
He falls over, to his fours. Cosmo rolls over, groaning. He staggers to the ropes, gasping for air. Lad slowly rises up, trying to stand tall on his feet– CASH ROLLS EVERYTHING ELBOW! LAD GOES DOWN! COSMO DROPS TO HIS KNEE, HOOKING THE LEGS! HE’S GOT THIS ONE!

LAD GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE! THE REFEREE HAS TO PULL HIS HAND BACK JUST IN TIME, AND COSMO THOUGHT HE HAD IT WON!
Cosmo looks up in shock when the referee points to the ropes, and tells him that it was ONLY a two! Cosmo slaps the mat, furious! He yells at the referee, demanding that he repeat himself. Once again, the referee maintains that Lad’s foot was on the rope! Cosmo looks back to Lad, and as Lad goes to move his ankle down, Cosmo places his boot onto it! Cosmo keeps Lad’s ankle on the bottom rope and starts stomping the hell out of it! The referee tries to make a count, to which Cosmo stops, only to LEAP UP AND DROP HIS BODY WEIGHT INTO A SEATED SENTON ON THE ANKLE OF LAD! Cosmo scoots away while Lad rolls around the ring, writhing in pain! He holds his ankle, crying out! Cosmo has a shit eating grin on his face, and the challenger is checking at his ankle.
He rises to his feet, while the referee stops checking on Lad and reprimands Cosmo for going out of line. Cosmo raises his hands up, pleading innocence. “You told me to stop, so I stopped! You said nothing about me continuing, though!” He chuckles at the referee’s anger, then tries to go right back to Lad, but the ref stops him. Cosmo has a frustrated expression on his face as the referee continues to check the ankle of Lad.
Watson: The mean streak of Cosmo Goldworthy is starting to come out now. He’s leaning heavily on going after the ankle of Lad, and you can see the wear and tear on the challenger.
Sydney: Cosmo’s playing a dangerous game messing with the referee – but he doesn’t look happy about being held back! He’s still on the pursuit!
Cosmo pushes past the referee, dragging Lad up! He throws Lad out of the ring and follows with him! He turns to the inside of the ring, looking at the irate referee. “You want something to check on him about?! I’ll give you something to check on!” Cosmo then wraps Lad’s arm around the back of his head and bends the leg back, LIFTING HIM UP FOR A SHINBREAKER ON THE TOP OF THE STEEL STEPS! LAD FALLS OFF THE STEPS, CRYING OUT IN AGONY AS HE HOLDS AT HIS ANKLE AND SHIN! Cosmo smiles, dragging Lad up and he throws him into the ring! Lad is still holding at his ankle and the referee is checking on him! Cosmo enters the ring and the referee is PISSED! Cosmo jabs a finger into the referee’s shirt. “DISQUALIFY ME, I DARE YOU! SEE HOW CHRIS BROCK REACTS TO YOU RUINING HIS BIG MATCH!” The referee reminds Cosmo that he has the authority to do so if he continues to get out of line, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Cosmo rolls his eyes and rolls Lad over, pinning him.

LAD JOLTS A SHOULDER UP!
The frustration of the champion is getting to him, as he gave Lad time to recover! Cosmo shakes his head and approaches Lad’s leg, lifting it up. He throws a big stomp at the leg! He throws another! He places it down and leaps into a stomp to the ankle– BUT LAD MOVES HIS FOOT AT THE LAST SECOND AND TRIPS HIM ONTO HIS FACE! Cosmo holds his jaw, wincing out in pain. Lad slowly rises, hobbling to the ropes. Cosmo follows after him, CHARGING INTO A CORNER SHOULDER THRUST – LAD MOVES AND SENDS COSMO SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RING POST!
Cosmo yells out in pain, holding at his shoulder! That’s two times in a row he’s been thwarted! He shakes out the shoulder and throws a leg kick to Lad, but Lad reaches down to catch his leg as he revs it up! Cosmo shakes his head and LAD THROWS THE MIGHTIEST OPEN HANDED SLAP HE’S EVER THROWN! COSMO GOES DOWN! AND HE MAY HAVE NEARLY GOTTEN KNOCKED DOWN BY THAT! Lad approaches Cosmo in a stoic manner as if he was Michael Myers, and Cosmo is doing his best to scoot away, a look of fear of losing his championship in this moment! He takes the ropes and starts to rise, but LAD MEETS HIM WITH ANOTHER SLAP!
He covers up, and LAD THROWS ANOTHER ONE! The slaps are getting through, and Cosmo is getting battered! Cosmo shoves Lad away! CASH ROLLS EVERY– LAD WEAVES IT! SLAP AGAIN! COSMO FALLS ONTO HIS FOURS, NOT KNOWING WHAT JUST HIT HIM! “Get up and fight, sucka!” Lad shouts, mimicking Muhammad Ali’s famous words to Sonny Liston; Cosmo stares up at Lad in shock, the gears in his head turning as he realizes Lad using the quote of one of his biggest inspirations against him. Cosmo scrambles up and tackles Lad down with a double leg takedown! But Lad flips it over and starts throwing heavy punches at Cosmo in top mount! Cosmo is trying his hardest to get out of it! He moves to side, and then rolls to his stomach!
BUT LAD GETS THE BODY TRIANGLE! HE TRIES TO FLATTEN COSMO OUT AS HE REACHES TO THE ARM AND HEAD! LAD’S ABOUT TO GET THE FATEBRINGER IN! BUT COSMO PULLS HIMSELF UP TO HIS KNEES! LAD IS PERSISTENT, TRYING TO GET IN! BUT COSMO RISES AND RUNS THEM BACKWARDS INTO THE TURNBUCKLES! Cosmo is free, stumbling forward as he coughs out in pain. BUT LAD JUMPS ONTO HIS BACK, TRYING TO LOCK IT IN AGAIN! COSMO WRITHES AROUND, DOING ALL HE CAN TO GET FREE! Cosmo reaches his hands around the back of Lad’s head, and JUDO TOSSES HIM TO THE CENTER OF THE RING! Lad holds the back of his head and rolls over, groaning. LARIAT FROM COS– LAD BLOCKS IT! Cosmo holds that bad arm in pain! He gasps out.
The champion tries his hardest to shake out the pain in his arm. It’s killing him, but out of the corner of his eye, he sees Lad still clutching at the back of his head. He grins, realizing that Lad is still hurt. Cosmo places his arm down and approaches Lad– ROARING ELBOW! LAD WAS PLAYING POSSUM TO GET COSMO OFF OF HIS GAME! COSMO IS OUT COLD! LAD DROPS TO HIS KNEES, HOOKING THE LEGS!

COSMO BARELY GETS A SHOULDER UP! HOW?!
Lad slaps the mat, shaking his head. The exhaustion is clear on both men, as Cosmo hardly has an idea of where he’s at right now. Cosmo rolls over, trying to come back to life. Lad drags him up by the hair and slaps the hell out of him! Cosmo stumbles, and Lad chops him! Cosmo shakes his head, gritting his teeth. Lad cracks him with a forearm smash! Cosmo falls to the ropes. Lad chops Cosmo again! And again! He winds back another, but Cosmo catches the arm and shifts the positions! Cosmo leans against Lad for a breather, exhausted. The referee comes in, enforcing another clean break like other. It seems that Cosmo’s about to play the same game with Lad, feinting a strike – but Lad is ready this time and takes a forearm, BUT COSMO FAKED HIM OUT, DUCKING AND DROPPING LAD WITH A MIGHTY UPPERCUT!
The challenger is in shock as he slumps against the bottom rope, and Cosmo starts yelling in his face! “WHAT NOW?! WHAT NOW!?” Lad scoots back in the corner and Cosmo starts stomping the hell out of him! Cosmo drags Lad up in the corner and starts unleashing punches, elbows, and chops on him! IT’S A VIOLENCE PARTY IN THE CORNER! Cosmo yanks Lad by the wrist and pulls him out of the corner, hoisting him up for a VICIOUS URANAGE SLAM! Lad holds his back in pain. Cosmo falls back to the ropes, nearly falling to the mat. He runs his hands through his hair, yelling at Lad! He demands that he gets up!
And as he does, Cosmo bounces off the ropes for added momentum! HE LEAPS INTO THE CASH COW– NO! LAD TRIPS COSMO ONTO HIS FACE, HOLDING ONTO HIS LEGS AS HE TRANSITIONS INTO THE ANKLE LOCK! IT’S A GUTTURAL ROAR OF PAIN FROM COSMO! HE REACHES OUT, KNOWING THAT LAD HAS THE ANKLE LOCK IN TIGHT! HE PULLS BACK ON THAT ANKLE, TRYING HIS ALL TO TAP HIM OUT! Cosmo bangs his fist on the mat, shaking his head! Cosmo yells out, groaning! Lad adjusts the grp, as Cosmo begins crawling to the ropes! Lad starts to pull him back! THE ANKLE LOCK IS STILL IN! Cosmo slaps the mat, shaking his head. He begins crawling again! Lad tries to pull him back, but Cosmo rolls to his back this time and kicks him off!
Lad gets kicked off, but he’s like a vulture as he leaps back for Cosmo’s ankle! He takes it with intentions of getting the hold back in, but Cosmo rolls to his back! Lad holds onto his ankle and Cosmo starts throwing kicks with the free legs! Lad is eating them, though! Cosmo sits up in shock as he keeps sitting– but then Lad throws Cosmo’s leg down to the mat as he’s sitting, AND DROPS INTO A SLIDING LARIAT! COSMO GOES DOWN! WHAT A PLAY BY LAD! Lad rises to his feet, letting out a warcry! Cosmo holds his chest, breathing heavily. Lad grabs Cosmo up by the hair chopping him to keep him at bay. Lad backs up, SPININNG INTO A DISCUS LARI– COSMO SPINS INTO THE READY TO DIE OUT OF NOWHERE! THE KICK LANDS FLUSH ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! LAD FALLS TO HIS FOURS, HIS HEAD SLUMPED AGAINST THE CANVAS!
But Cosmo can’t capitalize on a cover, because he’s holding that hurt ankle! Cosmo cries out in agony, while The Lad is LITERALLY not moving! Lad is out of it, and Cosmo has no idea because of how hurt he is! He’s yelling out to the referee, and the champion is seriously compromised right now! He looks to the ropes, crawling to them. He rolls to the apron, demanding that Lad get up. Cosmo barks, calling him up! “COME ON! COME ON, MOTHERFUCKER!” Cosmo shouts.
Finally, Lad starts to come to his senses– but he’s still loopy. Cosmo takes the ropes, grinning. He takes the ropes! AND HE FRONT FLIPS INTO THE RING!

COSMO’S ANKLE GIVES OUT ON HIM AS HE FLIPS INTO THE RING! COSMO FALLS TO HIS KNEES, HOLDING HIS ANKLE IN PAIN! COSMO CRIES OUT, AND LAD COMES BACK TO HIS SENSES! HE LIFTS COSMO UP QUICKLY! HE HOLDS HIM ONTO HIS SHOULDERS, LOOKING AROUND! HE TOSSES COSMO WITH THE SWEET BUSI– NO! COSMO SLIPS OFF AT THE LAST SECOND
HE FALLS BACK AGAINST THE ROPES! Lad charges in and Cosmo throws him over to the apron! Cosmo takes the ropes, trying to slingshot over – but Lad catches him by the head on the top rope! He takes the head and lifts him vertically! NO! Cosmo slips behind, but stumbles, holding that ankle. Lad turns around and Cosmo throws a nasty roundhouse kick with his good leg! Cosmo takes Lad’s head and tucks it into his thighs! He tries to lift him upside down! Lad grabs the middle rope, shaking his head! Cosmo tries again, doing all he can to lift him! Lad shakes his head! Cosmo tries to lift a third time, AND LAD TOSSES HIM WITH A BACK BODY DROP ONTO THE EDGE OF THE APRON!
Cosmo yells out in agony, rolling off the apron and falling face first. He nurses his back in pain, groaning as his saliva is all over the mat. Cosmo plants his hands on the mat, trying his hardest to rise up. Lad slips off the apron, nailing Cosmo with a brutal forearm! Cosmo falls back, and Lad starts forearming the hell out of him! He places Cosmo against the barricades, continuing to batter him with forearms! Cosmo has no response whatsoever, as Lad backs up and marches to the other side of the ringside area. He points at Cosmo, CHARGING IN ALL THE WAY AS HE BLASTS COSMO IN THE CHEST WITH A SHOTGUN DROPKICK!
AND THE UNITED STATES CHAMPION GETS SENT FLYING OVER THE BARRICADE INTO THE CROWD! HE SPILLS INTO THE LAPS OF A COUPLE OF FANS, WHO QUICKLY MOVE AWAY!
Watson: WHAT A DROPKICK FROM LAD! HE’S JUST SENT COSMO IN THE CROWD AMONGST THE JACKSONVILLE FANS WHO ARE NOT SUPPORTING HIM TONIGHT!
Sydney: What compelled you to have to throw that tidbit in! We get it! The fans don’t want him to win! You don’t have to rub it in his face!
The fans move away and Lad climbs over the barricade, taking Cosmo by the hair and pummeling him with closed fist punches of his own! Cosmo can’t cover up, as Lad is continuing to beat the hell out of him! He then transitions to forearms, leaning Cosmo’s head and upper body against the barricade as he starts stomping the chest and then the shoulders! Lastly, he moves to the head, grinding Cosmo’s face against the barricade! Cosmo yells out in pain as Lad gets him with multiple face washes! He drags Cosmo up and leans his body over the barricade. Lad climbs the top of the barricade, looking around. The fans serenade him with support and he grins, before dropping into a legdrop to the back of Cosmo’s head! His body somersaults forward off the impact as he flies off the barricade to the floor straight onto his back.
Lad drags Cosmo up and takes him by the hair and trunks, throwing him into the ring. Lad climbs up the apron and ascends to the top rope. Cosmo slowly rises, dazed. LAD FLIES OFF THE TOP WITH A BEAUTIFUL ELBOW TO THE JAW! Cosmo isn’t moving, and Lad wills himself up! He drags up Cosmo and leans the head down, double underhooking the arms as he has a butterfly suplex into his sights! But Cosmo spins out just in time! Lad shoves Cosmo back, but Cosmo bounces off into the ropes into a SATELLITE DDT! Lad’s head gets spiked into the canvas! Cosmo rolls him to a kneel and rises to his feet, as he charges into a knee to the jaw! Cosmo drags Lad up and scoops him onto his shoulders, RUNNING INTO A CORNER DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Lad is down and out, but Cosmo is doing everything he can in an attempt to try and take the advantage here!
He slaps the mat, rising to his feet. Cosmo drags Lad up by the wrists and holds him there. Cosmo runs off the ropes for added momentum! Lad is groggy, but he can’t do much as COSMO ESSENTIALLY LEAPS OFF ONE FOOT TO GET THE CASH COW! Cosmo holds his ankle, yelling out in pain! He bangs his fist on the mat, knowing what he had to risk to get that in! But Lad isn’t moving, and once again, Cosmo makes the cover! He yells at the referee to be quick!

“FUCK!” The frustration of the United States Champion is visible, as he doesn’t know what it’ll take to keep Lad down! Lad stares up at the ceiling, hardly responsive himself. Cosmo rises up and looks around, shaking his head. He pulls up Lad and turns him around, taking the arms. Cosmo starts to spin, looking for the Gold Mine– but Lad slips free just in time! He takes Cosmo’s arms! TIGER SUPLEX! He holds on, spinning through! He turns to a front facelock and double underhooks the arms, BUTTERFLY SUPLEX! Lad bridges up, rolling through and deadlifting Cosmo up! He holds him into a double underhook Canadian rack position, and then he tosses Cosmo up in the air and catches him into a fireman’s carry! LAD WANTS THE SWEET BUSINESS!
BUT BEFORE HE CAN GET IT, COSMO SLIPS OFF ONTO HIS GOOD LEG, AND HE CHOP BLOCKS LAD IN THAT ANKLE HE’S BEEN TARGETING! Lad goes down, holding his ankle in pain! Cosmo groans, taking Lad’s legs! He starts to cross them, and elevates him above the canvas... THE HOUSE SPECIAL IS LOCKED IN! JOJO RUSH AND TORI TAYLOR’S FINISHING MOVE, A MOVE THAT COSMO ESCAPED AND LATER ADAPTED INTO HIS ARSENAL! Cosmo pulls tight on The House Special, applying deep pressure to the legs of Lad! Lad bangs a fist on the mat, yelling out in pain! He plants his hands on the mat, trying to lower his body, but Cosmo hangs him up in the air! He reaches for the ropes, but he’s not close at all!
Cosmo nods his head, pulling as deep as he absolutely can on this hold! Lad digs his fingers into the mat, gritting his teeth. The pain is starting to become unbearable! Cosmo is close to getting him to tap, but as his hand hovers above the match! He reaches over and starts throwing punches at Cosmo’s bad ankle! He keeps throwing punches! Cosmo yelps out in pain! The grip starts to lessen, and Lad shows his flexibility by slowly tucking his chin and starting to shift himself while Cosmo holds his legs! THEN HE TAKES THE BAD ANKLE AND TRIPS COSMO! COSMO IS FORCED TO RELEASE THE HOLD WHILE LAD SCOOTS HIS LEGS FROM UNDER COSMO’S CHEST!
AND THEN HE RISES, APPLYING THE ANKLE LOCK AGAIN! COSMO YELLS OUT! THE FANS ARE IN AWE AT HOW LAD DID THAT! Cosmo cries out in pain! He crawls to the ropes, getting the bottom rope! But Lad is still holding it in, still with rage in his eyes! Cosmo uses the bottom rope to rise, then the middle rope! And as Cosmo is up, Lad releases the ankle lock, so he can trap Cosmo’s leg behind his back and take the waist! LEG-TRAPPED GERMAN SUPLEX! COSMO GETS SENT FLYING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING! Cosmo holds at his ankle and scoots his body back as he sits against the turnbuckle, trying to take a breather... BUT WHAT HE DOESN’T KNOW IS THAT LAD IS COMING OFF THE CORNER AND FLYING INTO A HESITATION DROPKICK!
The dropkick lands flush on the jaw of Cosmo, rocking his head backwards towards the turnbuckle. Lad rolls away though, holding his ankle in deep pain. He groans out, in similar pain to how Cosmo was earlier. Lad slaps the mat, frustrated. He starts to undo the wrist tape on his right wrist, biting it to withstand the pain. Meanwhile, Cosmo is showing little to no signs of life in the corner, still suffering from that dropkick. Lad rises to his feet, looking around. He nods his head, pulling Cosmo up. Lad meets Cosmo with a forearm! And he gets him with another!
Cosmo is dazed, and Lad takes the wrist and scoops him up! Cosmo elbows him as he goes for the lift! Cosmo elbows again! He slips to his feet and turns Lad with a boot! Lad is holding his jaw in pain! CASH ROLLS EVERYTHING TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD– LAD DUCKS UNDER! HE TAKES THE ARM AND HEAD! FATEBRINGER– COSMO SNAPMARES HIM OVER! Cosmo bounces off the ropes! Lad swings for the fences but he ducks! Cosmo bounces off the ropes AS HE ONCE AGAIN LEAPS INTO THE CASH COW–
NO! LAD CATCHES HIM IN MID AIR! HE HAS HIM IN A FIREMAN’S CARRY! EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT COMES NEXT!
Watson: LAD CATCHES COSMO IN THE AIR! HE’S BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS ALL MATCH LONG!
Sydney: IT’S NOT TIME FOR HIM TO INTRODUCE COSMO TO SWEET BUSINESS! WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?!
Lad marches to the center of the ring, doing his best to withstand the clear pain in his ankle. He struggles, it starting to become a factor... BUT REGARDLESS! HE POWERS THROUGH! SWEET! BUSINESS!
NO! Cosmo slips behind Lad at the last second! He takes the arms and slowly turns him around! Cosmo sticks his tongue out, a sinister expression on his face... AS HE DROPS INTO THE GOLD MINE– NO! LAD SLIPS OUT AT THE LAST SECOND! HE TAKES THE ARM AND THE HEAD! THE FATEBRINGER IS LOCKED IN!
COSMO GASPS FOR AIR, YELLING! LAD FINALLY GETS THE FATEBRINGER IN! HE PULLS ONTO THAT HALF NELSON CHOKE, TRYING TO CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF COSMO! BUT LAD CAN’T GET THE BODYSCISSORS IN! COSMO REFUSES TO TAP! AND LAD TRIES TO LIFT HIM UP, BUT COSMO KICKS HIS LEGS IN THE AIR AND BRINGS THEM BACK DOWN!
LAD AND COSMO ARE TUSSLING FOR CONTROL! LAD IS STILL CONTINUING TO CHOKE COSMO, BUT HE DOESN’T HAVE HIM FULLY OUT OF IT YET! COSMO SEES THE TURNBUCKLES AND HE RUNS UP THE MIDDLE THEN TOP ROPE! HE PROPELS BACKWARDS, BRINGING LAD DOWN AND PINNING HIS SHOULDERS TO THE MAT!

The arena ERUPTS, and for a split second, neither man can believe it! Cosmo kneels up, irate! He stares at the referee, beckoning that he kicked out, but the referee says he was just late! Cosmo falls back, unable to process what just happened. The Lad rises to his feet, throwing his arms up in triumph. The referee hands him both the United States and Television Championships, and he proudly raises them up!
Cosmo rolls out of the ring, pacing back and forth. This is all Lad’s moment, as he climbs up the middle rope and raises both championships up high! Pyro shoots from the sky, and confetti drops down for The Lad.
The fans are fully on his side as he drops off the top ropes and falls to his knees, breathing heavily. It’s a very emotional moment for him, as he was able to prove Cosmo wrong and leave with the win.
Watson: I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! THE LAD DEFEATS COSMO TO BECOME OUR NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION! THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A WIN, AND HE GOT IT DONE!
Sydney: COSMO GOT HIS SHOULDER UP! REGARDLESS — THE LAD DID IT! I can’t deny that! That was an AWESOME match and we just saw firsthand what this kid is truly about on a main event level!
Watson: I don't know how we are going to top this. As Brock said at the start of the show, this very well may be the match of the YEAR and it's only May folks!!!! We still have the rest of our Main Event to come as I am being told the train is almost to the station, let's check back in with our crew on the Brightline!

As M$J looks out the window, he sees the tree continuing to move. Eventually, one of these men will be off to Jacksonville with the EWC North American Championship. He crawls over, looking around. Ito is still grounded. M$J rises and takes Ito by the arm, slowly dragging his bloodied body across the floor. M$J shakes his head, breathing heavily. He looks for a weapon on the train. Ito is trying his hardest to rise, but he falls into a seat. M$J takes another kendo stick, twirling it around. Ito rises and throws a desperation elbow! M$J stumbles, but Ito throws another! Its not as strong, but Ito keeps throwing elbows!
M$J kicks him back and swings the kendo stick at his head! He ducks under! Ito reaches for it and the two are having a tug of war! They fight over it, and M$J yanks it back with authority! Ito falls to his knees and M$J raises it overhead… But Ito punches him square in the ribs! Ito takes the kendo stick and hits him in the ribs! Then he cracks him across the back of his head! M$J tries to get up, but Ito has him scoured out! KONBANWA! THE SOARING ELBOW TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD CONNECTS! M$J hits the floor hard!
Ito rolls M$J over like he’s going to pin him, and instead raises the kendo stick and starts battering him over the chest over and over with it! Ito slams the kendo stick down with all of his might, unleashing all of his aggression and anguish! M$J continues to get battered, the welts all over his body. Ito drags M$J up and forearms him repeatedly against the benches. He nods, taking him by the head. But M$J fights back! He punches Ito! He elbows him! M$J is teeing off on Ito and he’s trying his hardest to cover up!
After the constant shots, Ito tackles M$J down! He throws his punches and M$J rolls over, throwing some as well! Both men jockey for position as Ito tries to roll over and M$J resists it! Both work their way up, grabbing at each other’s hair or beard, doing all they can to get some kind of advantage while throwing weak shots. They’re scrapping all over the train, blood spilling all over the place like a trail. Ito starts throwing uppercuts to the body of M$J! He grabs him in a clinch and starts throwing knees to the chest and the jaw over and over! Ito is getting destroyed right now! M$J grabs him in a front facelock and applies a guillotine— but Ito shoves him into the pole!
M$J stumbles out and Ito takes the head, leaning his back down. He nods his head! TOBIDASHI NAIFU! HE SWINGS INTO A FLATLINER, DROPPING M$J RIGHT ON HIS HEAD! He’s out of it, and Ito nods his head profusely! He looks around, feeling victory in his sights. M$J is still not moving, and Ito slowly starts to rise to his feet.
He drags up M$J and looks at him dismissively, He looks out to the window- AND HE THROWS M$J THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE TRAIN! THE GLASS EXPLODES ON IMPACT, AND M$J’S BODY IS HANGING OUT THE WINDOW AS THE TRAIN GOES AT 200 MPH! THIS COULD KILL HIM! M$J barely has any knowledge of where he’s at as Ito tries to force him out of the train! M$J wakes up, fueled purely by adrenaline and fear! He starts kicking at Ito, trying to get him away! Ito remains persistent, trying to shove M$J out!
M$J kicks him back one last time! He falls onto his ass, groaning. M$J slowly frees himself but as he does, Ito’s scrambling into the next car and climbing up the ladder to the emergency exit at the top of the train! M$J follows up as they go up the train to end this thing!
Watson: THIS IS IT! BOTH MEN ARE ASCENDING TO THE TOP OF THE TRAIN! WE WILL HAVE A WINNER!
Sydney: Both men are extremely hurt and exhausted! I have genuinely no idea who’s about to leave with the win in this one!
The two men rise to the top of the Brightline train. It’s moving so fast that at first, they have complications standing! Ito throws the first blow, meeting M$J with a heavy forearm. But M$J fights back, stumbling Ito with one of his own. Ito kicks M$J in the ribs and starts repeatedly elbowing him! M$J tries to cover up, and then, ITO SLAPS HIM DOWN! M$J looks up to Ito, pissed! Ito is hobbling on one leg and swings shots at M$J, but he’s easily weaving them! M$J releases Ito’s leg, SO HE CAN SLAP HIM BACK!
Ito goes down, stunned. M$J pounces him and starts smashing his head in with elbows! Ito rolls over and M$J elbows the back of the head! He drags him up and starts peppering him with chops! M$J cracks Ito with a lariat! He swings another but Ito ducks and takes the waist. GERMAN SUPLEX! THERE’S NO ROOF, SO M$J LANDS IT! Ito thinks that he’s got him down, UNTIL M$J SUPERKICKS HIM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD! He quickly drags Ito up and jams his head into his thighs! He starts to lift him upside down! He steps over the arms… BOUNCED CHEC— Ito uses his length as he frees himself and drops his legs back down! M$J tries to get him up, BACK BODY DROP REVERSAL!
The champion holds his back, his eyes bulging out of his head. Ito staggers, wiping blood out of his eyes. M$J rolls over and Ito quickly pulls him up! He hooks the head and lifts him up! BURAKKUAUTO! THE HESITATION BRAINBUSTER SMASHES M$J’S HEAD STRAIGHT INTO THE STEEL! IT WAS INDEED A BLACKOUT FOR HIM! HE’S NOT MOVING! Ito nods his head profusely, blood flying out of his once blonde— now red hair. He rolls over and points at M$J, calling for the end. M$J slowly kneels up, wincing. ITO CHARGES INTO THE KETTEI-DA!!
M$J MOVES OUT THE WAY! ITO STOPS DEAD IN HIS TRACKS, ALMOST FALLING OFF THE TRAIN! HE TURNS TO M$J— SUPERKICK TO THE JAW! ITO IS REELING! M$J SUPERKICKS THE KNEES OUT TOO! Ito is on his fours, trying his damndest to recover in time. MONEY STOMP 2.0!! ITO IS DOWN AND OUT! HIS BODY UNKNOWINGLY ROLLS OVER.. HE’S THIS CLOSE TO FALLING OFF!
The champion crawls over, TRYING TO DUMP HIM OFF THE TOP! HE PUSHES THE HEAD AND THE LEGS!

But M$J holds onto Ito’s hair, threatening to take him down with him! Ito starts to ease up, and M$J shoves him back with authority. Ito rolls over, shaking his head. M$J approaches Ito, BUT ITO SCOOPS HIM UP! M$J DROPS BEHIND HIM! Both men turn to each other! LARIAT!
BOTH MEN THREW IT AT THE SAME TIME! THEY GO DOWN, OUT OF IT!
Watson: What a lariat from Ito and $t John! I’m surprised these two still have power!
Sydney: This is what being a champion is all about! WHO will prevail?!?
Both men are awaken by the noise of a helicopter in the air. In the helicopter are EWC medics, ready to be lowered to the ground and tend to the loser of this match, and the winner who’s got a trip back to Jacksonville. Ito is the first to get up, grunting. He stares down at the fallen M$J with a nod, and the train surpasses him as Ito rises — standing tall as the NEW EWC North American Champion!
Watson: And with the odds against him, Ibuki Ito finds a way to become a two-time North American Champion! Marcu$ $t John fought hard to become champion, but Ito could not lose his chance at never being champion again! What a victory!
Sydney: What a victory is an understatement. These two men fought their hearts out. Ito is the winner, but neither has anything to be disappointed by. That’s going down in history. I can't imagine this will be the last time these two battle, but I think for both of their bodies sake its not anytime soon!
