The EWC video package plays followed by the RUSH video packages set to the tune of it's theme. The camera finally zooms from the crowd where 3 wrestlers are in the ring preparing for their fight. The ring announcer is standing in the center of squared circle and begins to speak.
Announcer: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to Saturday Night Rush! The EWC would like to remind you that todays event is under the direction and authority of the Arizona Commision of Athletics and the sponser in charge of todays event is Ted Lukenoff! Our first match is a triple threat local promotion showcase representing the PAW. Weighing in at 152lbs, from Indianapolis, Indiana, Dave the Outtkast Taylor!
The camera zooms in on the athlete as he stretches on the ropes and raises his fist up at the call of his name.
Announcer: Next, weighing in at 149lbs, from Atlanta, Georgia, Derrick Neikirk!
The camera pans to Derrick on the center ropes cajoling the crowd and pumping himself up.
Announcer: And the last competitor, weighing in at 132lbs, from Pimpville USA, Lil Nate.
A rather skinny athlete is in the turnbuckle flipping off the crowd while a woman rubs his shoulders.
Match Description
The match was your standard local promotion showcase, nothing too fancy but definetly enjoyable. Lil Nate spent most of the time on his back in this match not getting too much offense in as the two faces trounced the hell who still found time to yell at the fans. Lil Nate eventually did get some offense going and dominated the match until out of nowhere, Jack Evans and Teddy Hart rushed the ring and destroyed all three competitors. They smiled with smirks at the crowd as they left the ring leaving many unanswered questions as the show went to commercial.
The show returns to a brief rundown of things that occured at Rumble in the Bronx before fading back to the ring where the announcer is standing again.
Announcer: Our next match of the night is a single match. Coming down to the ring first, weighing in at 230lbs, from Kingston, Pennsylvania, he is DJ Jones.
DJ Jones comes out the entrance ramp to his theme and stands at the top of the ramp with one hand held up in the air. He walks to the ring with his arm still in the air. Before he approaches the ring, he says hi to the couple of fans sitting next to the ring entrance. When in the ring he stands in the middle of the ring and looks out into the crowd.
Announcer: And his opponent, weighing in at 300lbs, from Washington, DC. Tommy Polo!
Polo's theme begins to play and Polo comes out to the stage to a band of boo's from the crowd. He ignores the people and flexes on stage. He begins to walk down the ramp and as he walks, pyro explodes behind him on each side of the ramp. He slides into the ring, climbs a corner and flexes to the crowd. Explosions happen on the other corners as Polo is taunting the crowd. He hops down and stands in the center of the ring. He drops down to his knees and poses for pictures. He stops posing and waits for the match to start.
Match Description
This match was full of intensity as the two rookies to the EWC faced off to prove themselves the best. Tommy Polo was able to use his size and strength in the beginning of the match to take control but DJ Jones did not jut lay over as he out up a good defense and was able to reverse an attempted powerbomb to gain control. The match was pretty back and forth after that but Tommy Polo was able to scrape out the win with a viscious Polo Plunge for the 1 2 3.
Tommy celebrates his victory as the show cuts to commercial.
The main event was cancelled due to a no show in behalf of Redface Rogers. -angry finger wave- so Level One gets the win.
*Rest of results will be up. I will be posting the show in increments so be sure to read live.*
